Who Goes Home? (Pollard & Toye Investigations Book 16) Kindle Edition
Someone has a skeleton in their chimney…
When a dilapidated farmhouse in Polharbour village goes up in flames, family secrets are driven to the surface.
It is quickly apparent the fire was arson and the local police force are puzzled as to why the aloof and often absent Antsey family are being targeted.
But then a gruesome discovery that has lain hidden in the property for twenty years brings everything to a head.
Scotland Yard's Chief Superintendent Pollard and Detective Inspector Toye are called in to investigate.
With evidence pointing to a drugs’ ring and rumours whirling about the Antsey family, it could just be their most complicated case yet…
Who Goes Home? is the sixteenth cosy village mystery in the Pollard & Toye crime series: an intriguing police procedural set in rural England.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt is not enough to have a good plot, as this story does, if the characters are wooden: they speak and do things, but no personalities emerge. I stopped reading at chapter 10, bored by the unimaginative cardboard cutout characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAnother compelling episode in the delightful Pollard and Toye crime series. Set in what appears to be the glorious scenery of Devon, a case of arson leads to the discovery of a skeleton entombed in a fireplace. Another intriguing case for the duo from the Yard to solve.
