    Killian and his best friend Max have always been close. Killian regularly goes to family gatherings even though it is so hard to see Claire. Killian met Claire through Max at university. Spending time together, their attraction turned into love. He thought he would end up getting a higher degree to be with her instead of following his dream of the Marines. Then she cut him out of her life and he had no idea why. Years later, he still doesn't know why and has no idea that Claire has bled from the loss of him every day since. He did go on into the Marines and now his security firm has been hired by Max to protect Claire. With this second chance at a real relationship, he will stop at nothing to keep her safe. As Claire finally has Killian back in her life, she has to confess why she she ghosted him if they are going to have a chance at happily ever after.

    Annie Dyer is an amazing author! Her characters are so vivid and real, not to mention act like adults. The dialogue snaps and flows and the characters actually show you that they are building a real relationship. I was blown away by White Knight and I thank my lucky stars that the third book Compromising Agreements is already waiting for me on my tablet. Killian is positively the hottest book boyfriend ever. Claire has kept her feelings hidden for so long and it was awesome to see her real personality once she was with Killian. I highly recommend the Callaghan-Greene series!

    This is the second book I've read from Annie Dyer. The first one I gave a five I really loved it. This one was just as good and I liked it a lot for all the same reasons that it was fast-paced, good plot and good characters. The only issue I had with this one is it had quite a bit of editing errors. And those things unfortunately jump out at me immediately.. if the first one had it I didn't notice but I definitely noticed it in this one. So I gave it four star instead of five.

    Fantastic 2nd book. Second chances are my favorite stories to read. This book continues where book 1 left off though this book follows Killian and Claires story.

    We learn (finally since I was so curious) why Claire broke things off when they were back in college even though they were in love. Through letters we get a snippet of what Killian went through after the breakup and are this letters ever sweet, you can feel the love pouring out of them.

    Through the book we catch up a little with Vanessa and Jackson, we have a bit more interaction with Claires parents. Killians brother is around a bit more and the case that Claire took on in book 1 concludes though there are a few scary moments with the case.

    I loved reading the backstory between these two and we see a love that is rare, one that lasts and has no conditions, it is just love plain and simple. The way it should be.

    This book started out pretty good with what I thought was some pretty good potential. But I ended up being somewhat disappointed as time went on. The story started falling apart for me before the 50% mark on my kindle. It was the constant rehashing over and over of the main character's past and the Big Secret. Added to that was the fact that it felt like there were way TOO many people in the story to keep track of. Even though Marie and a few other people had their moments.
    I do give the author credit for both Killian and Claire having depth as main characters. There is plenty of emotions shown as well.
    There is plenty of descriptions of different locale's and there is also quite a bit of details when it came to that.
    One thing that kind of irritated me was Claire constantly dragging her feet when it comes to "telling" Killian why she cut him out of her life. And her thinking she just didn't know how to tell him? Come on girl, you've had 13 years to figure that out.
    The case that Claire is working on definitely comes with some clear dangers.
    There is a H.E.A. but I think this book is my "one and done" when it comes to this series.

    This is the second book in the Callaghan Green series. This is a big exciting family of mostly lawyers. They may bicker and fight but they fiercely love and protect each other. A great series.

    This is the second book featuring the Callaghan family featuring oldest daughter Claire.
    During the first book she makes her feelings clear about Killian, Max's friend from University.
    In this book Killian, who owns a security firm with his brother Nick, is asked to look after Claire as she has taken on a mess divorce case and the family are worried about the other party.
    What become apparent is that Claire and Killian do have a history.
    Claire can be quite outspoken and Killian is such a likeable character.
    There are the usual humorous moments, especially the banter between the siblings, but there are also parts that are quite emotional, with something that happened to Claire when she was young.
    Fabulous book and will no doubt be reading again.

    OK if you're planning on reading this book, don't!

    Well don't untill you've read the first one. They follow the same family picking up on a different couple's relationship.

    I guess you could read them back to front but reading backwards leads to pushing the pull door.

    There are a few typos which are frustrating but worth ignoring for a fun romp of a story.
