Editorial Reviews

Review

"I loved Weyerbacher's first book, but wasn't sure how I'd feel about this one, written in an alternating character style and with a different story line. I went into it hesitantly but totally loved it! Her descriptive style, the rich development of characters and settings made it a tense but delightful story. I really appreciated the tenderness of the relationships, especially Corrie's older aunt and uncle, and the difficulty of the relationship with her mom. It was a surprising story line and very enjoyable to read! I won't think twice about purchasing and reading her next book! I'm hooked!"- Amazon review

From the Back Cover

An actress running from drama. A loyal protector, but nothing more.
A clean, wintery romance. I mean, story of friendship. Wink, wink.
Corrie Wyler is a free-spirited actress who receives a call to help her aunt and uncle run their furniture shop in Colorado. The temporary detour from Oregon yields hope but Corrie's nail-biting baggage follows.

Past heartbreak has left Jude Flanigan callous so he builds furniture with a boarded-up heart. No one will knock his walls down. Not ever again. Not even lively, gorgeous Corrie Wyler.

Will frozen hearts thaw in time for Christmas, or will Corrie leave for Oregon before their deepest wish comes true?

May be read out of order.
Book One: Organic Love
Book Two: Wild Hope

Captivates the reader with her characters and their personal stories. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book of this series, Organic Love, but WILD HOPE takes the series to a new level of reader enjoyment. I liked the way Weyerbacher switches the story teller. Corrie's view. Jude's view. It's as though the reader can really get into the character's head. Great story. Clean reading. Addresses some real life issues - I highly recommend for readers 16 years and older with a handle on real life and true life. Good job.

Meghan has done it again with her second inspirational romance set in small town America. I laughed and I cried, as I became totally immersed in the lives of Jude and Corrie and their families. This is a "clean romance" that I would be glad to share with my young adult friends too. Heavy subjects of domestic abuse, grieving & loss, and life's direction are woven throughout the pages of this story. Yet the author finds ways to keep the subjects handled with much grace and truth, so that the reader is drawn in to consider heavy issues in their own lives. Underneath it all is the sure foundation of safety that is found in living a life with God. I highly recommend this book!

This book is like a ray of sunshine on a cold winter day. You will find yourself truly invested in these characters. Carrie and Jude's story reminds us life can be messy! Through all of the hard moments in these characters lives you will find hope. If you're in a funk, dealing with grief, or an unhealthy relationship, this book will inspire a wild hope in your heart. As I turned the last pages there wasn't that usual sadness of a story ending, instead I felt like I was wrapped in a big fuzzy bear hug!

This is the 2nd book I've read by Meghan, and I have enjoyed each one. Meghan is an author that writes with her whole heart and soul and brings powerful truths to the forefront of her writing. The message is clean and wholesome yet believable. Meghan tackles some real life issues and handles them beautifully. There are so many good quotes throughout the book, that will encourage and motivate you. Here's one of my favorites: “Discouragement doesn’t defeat someone pursuing a focused life path. When the end game is known, even the bumps along the way are accepted by the sojourner...”

I enjoyed the first book in this series so I was eager to read the second. And it far exceeded my expectations! If you are looking for a clean, inspirational romance to relax with, I highly recommend this one. I immediately felt at home with the main characters. I wanted to protect the heroine and rooted for the rugged male lead to open himself up to her. This is the book equivalent of a fuzzy blanket and a warm cup of tea. I can't wait for the next one!

M.E. Weyerbacher's Wild Hope offers readers a chance to take part in other's dreams, friendships, and family. No doubt, Wild Hope presents honest desires and sacrifices. Watch out, this story is not mushy romance, this is real stuff! What's more, there is exciting suspense and action woven into Wild Hope! After a few chapters, I just couldn't put the book down! Once again, M.E. Weyerbacher got me hooked on one of her books!

A good storyline, believable characters (for the most part), and enough action to keep the story flowing.

This book, like the first in the series, contains misspelled/wrong words and reads like chunks of dialogue/thought processes are missing.

I had hoped these types of errors would be resolved by the second book, but I see I was mistaken.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet and fun romance that I couldn't put down!

Wild Hope made me laugh, and cry. There are some truly touching moments as the characters deal with loss and disappointment, but these themes do not override the humorous and tender love story that gently unfolds on the pages. Weyerbacher's strength is in believable characters with flaws, but you love them and want to root for them. Her side characters hold their own and add to the small town setting with endearing charm. There is a serious struggle for bouncy, outgoing Corrie as she tries to break free of a controlling boyfriend who isn't ready to let her go. Swoon worthy and shy Jude is still overcoming his own grief over recent losses, and to see these two characters come together to support each other in healthy, uplifting ways is refreshing in a romance. A definite page turner!
