    What an exciting and powerful book about Mr Chettle’s accusations of being a murderer, with Ruth as his accomplice.

    I can’t wait to find out if the truth is revealed in London before they are forced back for trial.

    Ruth and Mr. Chettle are on the run when he is framed for murder. Meanwhile, Rachel sets out to figure out how to free the man she loves by getting a crime Lord to give her the information she needs. Can either one manage to get their lovers out of trouble?

    I loved the steam in this story. We have more BDSM scenes that start to open up more kinks, and i loved it. I actually really liked Phineas's character and Rachel's scenes with him. Ruth and her lover were less interesting and I didn't care as much about their story.

    My biggest problem with this book is I would've preferred the story to focus on one couple. The stories can intermingle in some ways (like maybe introduce a character for the next book), but to have two stories happening at once didn't work in this particular instance. I think if the author spent more time on Rachel or Ruth, the book would have been much better.

    Our heroines are willing to do anything for the men they love and that leads them into some rather steamy situations.

    This is book two of the series, but it does pretty well as a standalone. That being said, the plot will make more sense if read from the beginning.

    This is a short erotic story with a historical setting and a spanking theme. The story is well written, easy to read and lots of fun. The characters have a nice bit of depth to them for a short story, which makes the story all that more enjoyable. The plot is straightforward, but there is also a bit of action intrigue thrown in as well. But the highlight comes with the interactions between our heroes and heroines. Those scenes are light, fun and steamy. Overall, it all comes together to make for an very enjoyable evening read.

    Highly recommended.
