If you enjoyed "You've Got Mail" you're going to Love this book! Claudia Burgoa gives us something perfect to add some lightness to our days while we are "Sheltered in Place" and I for one LOVED IT! Persephone (Persy) is a social media influencer, she has a weekly podcast, and she is a therapist, but for some reason men find her less serious then she really is, I personally think it's because of their own shortcomings because you have to be a serious person to pull off all three of those am I right! Ford is the the hot guy next door only for Persy he is the ultimate grumpy guy from next door from day one, he likes his peace and quite and Persy is anything but. Which makes for some interesting times. There is so much back and forth between Ford and Persy it had me laughing out loud so many times I lost count. I have always enjoyed Claudia's Rom-Com's but this has to be the best one that she has written to date. I think this was going to be a standalone originally but I am THRILLED to see that we will be getting more, up next is Ford's twin brother Nate and I'm not telling you who the lucky girl is you'll have to read this book to figure it out. I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Romantic Comedies. Happy Reading!!!

    This is the first book I've read by Claudia Burgoa. I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would, for me it took several chapters (probably a100 pages) to get into the characters and storyline. Once I start a book I have to finish it and I'm so glad I did. Both Persephone, Lang and Grumpy neighbor just want to be accepted for who they are. Persephone believes in love and wants a partner, grumpy neighbor and Lang are cynical, don't believe in love or trust anyone.
    If you are bothered by punctuation errors you may get frustrated by quotation marks missing when a character is speaking. Strange the enclosing quotation mark is missing.
    This will probably not be the last book of Claudia Burgoa's that I purchase, in fact I'm interested in Nyx's story.
    Enjoy this nice, light book.

    This is an amazing romantic comedy, and I loved everything about it, from Claudia Burgoa’s wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. I also loved the originality of the story and the unique way it was told, alternating chapters in his and her points of view, her being Persephone “Persy” Brassard and him being Chad, her grumpy neighbor who does not want her there. Persy is a social influencer and vlogger who has her own podcast, her specialty is giving advice and talking about sex. Her agent hooked her up, and she cut a deal to write a book, but it was not a cut and dry deal, she needed to not only write about dating but to write about her experience on the dates she goes on. At least her deadline is over a year away. She moves into a new apartment in a great building, the only downside was her unwelcoming neighbor. Chad is antisocial, anti relationship and, well, anti-everything really, he has his reasons and we see what they are as his story unfolds. Persy does not let Chad get under her skin, she gives as good as she gets, Chad has truly met his match in her. But as time goes on, he acclimates and gets used to her behavior and routines. In the meantime Persy texts the wrong number and she has a new cyber friend, one she can easily talk with and share her thoughts with. I loved how everything played out in this wonderfully plotted story, it has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, and a slow burn romance. The story is captivating from start to end and the banter and witty banter is absolutely brilliant. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

    🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing lineup of talent, these narrators knocked this audio out of the park. Brooke Bloomingdale and Jason Clarke covered the roles of the two lead characters, Persy and Chad. Virginia Rose, Aaron Shedlock, Teddy Hamilton, Pippa Jayne, Virginia Rose and Austenne Gray jumped in, covering the roles of the secondary and support characters. They are all fabulous at what they do and I love how they take each role, run with it and make it their own and do so with a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and it is always a pleasure to listen to their performances. Thank you for another amazing listen.

    This is a 3 star read for me. There were so many cute parts, that almost set the plot up to go forward but it was such a slow burn then everything happens in the last 5 minutes. There is talk of schmexy activity throughout but nothing happens between the characters until 79% of the way through and then it’s all fade to black. If you’re a smutty romance reader, this might not be for you. The characters are cute and I wanted to spend more time getting to know them and less time analyzing everything in the story and listening to emails and podcasts over and over. It got repetitive for me and no longer moved the plot forward. There were also some plot devices dropped in that felt shoehorned in and didn’t fit. I know being the first in the series the author was setting up the next books but it really detracted from this story. It was fine, it just wasn’t great for me.

Get ready to laugh out loud at some of the most hilarious banter, a sassy, loud heroine and a broody, sexy recluse who only wants peace and quite. But sometimes what we want is not what we need and sometimes it comes in the most interesting of forms.

    How do you keep giving the perfect advice to complete strangers but your own (love)life seems to be going off track. She keeps giving her all to her followers but she really needs something for herself, something real and maybe she needs to ask her ex what really went wrong but sometimes mixing up a digit can lead to much more than she bargained for.

    He just wants his peace and quite back but it's hard to do when the new girl next door can't keep it down and her cat has decided to adopt him and his penthouse. He can't help offer his advice especially when he sees how mistaken she is about herself and then he gets the strange middle of the night text and now he's got two new women in his life and he wasn't even looking for one.

    Sometimes you must look within yourself to understand that life as you know it does not have to stay that way. Sometimes the thing you don't know you need happens when you think you're living.

    This book was an absolute delight and a breath of fresh air!!!

    First of all, I love all the names of the characters in this book/ series! I left this one in my TBR pile for quite some time, and I wish I didn't. Immensely enjoyable that I quickly went on to buy the rest of the series to find out more about the supporting characters. Ford and Persy are just absolutely delicious, their story is fantastic and some parts, Ford is just the sweetest - even for a grump! It's a great read, and provides a brilliant escape from reality. Highly recommend the book as well as the rest of series!
