Yearn (Remington Place Book 4) Kindle Edition
Khi Harris has spent his life trying to prove himself. After a disastrous relationship, all he needs is a little time to regain his footing. He has no desire to spend that time with an old enemy.
Dre King has finally accepted his truth. A new home with family and friends is exactly what he needs as he begins a journey toward his dream. Khi waltzing back into Dre’s life is not part of the plan.
The only thing Khi and Dre can agree on is they most definitely don’t want to be thrown together, but that’s precisely what they get. The line between hate and love is easily blurred, but these two men are determined to fight each other tooth and nail.
**Yearn is a steamy, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity M/M romance between two EMS workers who have hated each other for a decade. It’s the fourth and final book in the Remington Place series and can be read as a stand-alone, but is likely best enjoyed when read in order.**

About the author

Escape into addictive, sexy, emotional M/M romance.
A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing teens, and wondering how she and her husband of over two decades haven't driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, hot tea, sweet wine with friends, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/they pronouns.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2025Loved the crew and all their stories. The character development is great, and the sliding in a meeting with the characters of another series is creative and make you want to go read those stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2021Things I liked about this book:
The epilogue that gives a glimpse into the HEAs of all the couples from the series (it’s been a fun ride, and while it works as a stand alone, I appreciated that this book included that nice moment of connection)
The excellent support from friends and found family-- I love how everyone stresses clear communication and emotional honesty, in authentic, non-condescending ways. It was good for Khi and Dre, and it’s just a good point for everyone everywhere, full stop.
Khi and Dre’s enemies to lovers trajectory. It’s one of my favorite tropes, and I liked them together, although it bugged me that Dre, having been the instigator and antagonist of hostilities during his teenage years, was also the one not to take no for an answer when it came to reconciliation-- generally speaking, I’m not a fan of anyone insisting on forgiveness for themselves, as that decision should be up to the person wronged. Overall, however, it’s rewarding to watch them move from enemies to frenemies to hookups to something more, and I’m glad they made it.

I like the character development in the slow progression of the characters coming into their own. It makes for a good store to just sit back read while music is playing in the background noise raining outside it's just that type of heart woman story once again all I can think about is a Hallmark movie.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2021Loved this story about Khi and Dre. They came a long way from the hate they initially felt and i totally enjoyed their journey. I loved the entire series and getting to know all the fantastic characters all of which were endearing. I also felt the series epilogue was just a perfect ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2021Dre and Khi's story brings us to a conclusion of the Remington Place series and it has been a good one. I liked this enemies to lovers story that reminds us that strong emotions sometimes hides something different than the participants thinks it is about. And it is bad enough that they have history that makes them not like one another, at Remington Place they get to be roomies since Khi's room is the one with the spare bed at the moment. Forced proximity at home and then at work when they are no longer able to avoid working together, along with a supportive and well meaning intrusive community at the house helps them to begin the process of communicating. They needed a place to start so that they could resolve their issues and see that they could be good together.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2021I'm so sad to reach the end of this series... binge read it in just a couple days it was so good! Khi and Dre did not disappoint. As with the others @ Remington Place, they were hot af together and so sweet. Loved the series epilogue at the end. Definitely recommend this book and the series for a low angst, steamy and fun read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2021I loved finally getting Dre and Khi's story. It was great to get the backstory about what happened between them in high school; my heart broke for each of them. I was lovely to go along on the journey as they learned about each other and the men they had become. It was an excellent conclusion to the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars what’s wrong with us
I had to read this book before 3 I was dying to see what happened with these 2. Khi had such a crappy life from a young age with only his sisters love and Dre had the opposite except he couldn’t be himself because being gay in a homophobic family was grounds for getting disowned. Now there both adults and trying to forget or forgive their past selves. As they say there’s a fine line between love and hate. Plus I loved the epilogue.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have been looking forward to this enemies to lovers story since we first met Khi and Dre
I have been looking forward to this enemies to lovers story since we first met Khi and Dre. Khi really hates Dre, really he does. He may be forced into sharing a room with his long time enemy but when the two are forced into even closer proximity Dre desperately wants to clear the air and be friends. Khi, however, does his best to stay distant and not engage with Dre but life just seems determined to mess with him. I loved the way that Khi's resolve slowly begins to crumble and the enemies with benefits arrangement that Khi comes up with. This has been such a fun series and I can't wait to see what's next from this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of bickering to endure before any intimacy
I was looking forward to reading this enemies to lovers story. Their tense relationship was definitely convincing. I was starting to wonder when their walls would start to crumble. It took time and I did get a bit tired of the bickering. The chemistry seemed a bit static until they finally got intimate. The sex scenes were hot and made up for the wait. It has a general angst running throughout due to hoth MC's being enemies. It was great to catch up on the rest of the gang and the epilogue at the end bought a HEA for everyone.
