    What a wonderful story. This is the first book I've read from this series. It is a stand alone with a background story. I was able to follow the characters and understand the story without reading the previous ones.
    Loved Miri. Headstrong, even with her memory loss. Her personality was not lost. It was fun reading how Zarik help her and found his own reward of honor. There was action, suspense, humor and romance. Previous characters were in the book also.
    Everything you would want in a great book.
    I would recommend this book. I will be checking out the rest of the series.

    Zarik and Miri so different and get drawn inexplicably towards each other. Zarik a soldier who lost his honor and has spent many years trying to regain it. So much so it become a matter of pride and relentless determination. When he hears a bout a young woman who was kidnapped and most her memory he rushed to the rescued in hopes of helping her and in the process hope to regain his most precious honor. Miri wakes up with no memories, malnourished and scared to death. Zarik finds her and promises to help her regain her memories and keep her safe. Together they embark on a dangerous mission to restore Miri's memories, find out what happened to her and make sure it never happens to anyone else. Along the way their attraction sizzles and both realize the most important thing they're both found is each other and the love of true mates. I'm looking forward to reading the continued adventures with a new enemy I. Thus next instalment. 💖

    I really really enjoyed Zarik and Miri’s story. Even on another planet you have to deal with hatred and bigotry. But even though this is a book of fiction it truly hurts knowing that it’s unfortunately so true and it’s really happening on this planet. And the suffering will always continue.

    Do not like negative reviews but this one just fell short. Didn't feel the connection between these two.. Story just kind of stalled in places. Also left the cousin who was responsible for her kidnapping out there some place along with her frantic Aunt she was supposed let know what was happening. So just not happy with this one.
