A Thousand Starry Nights.... This book really touched me. Full of emotion and hope. I absolutely loved every second, every page, and when I was finished I was wishing for more. Not because it was lacking in any way, but because I didn't want it to end! I wanted to hold onto it just a little longer. SO, I opted to re-read it, and re-read it again...it just got better and better each time! Aspen and Carter were the perfect couple. They were young and in love, newly engaged. They had it all. Until one little mistake changed the course of their lives forever....Or did it? Aspen has been through a lot. She thought she had forever in Carter, until he ripped out her heart and stomped on it. She thought she could fool herself into being happy, or at least content, until the fake prince she married turned into a toad. Now she's realizing the horrible mistakes she made. The choices, made in haste, out of revenge, to get back at the one boy who would forever hold her heart....Carter. Carter knows he screwed up. He made choices that lost him his one true love, but, also gave him something else to live for, another form of love...his baby girl.     As usual I come into an Addison Moore book expecting to be blown away and that is exactly what happens. She never disappoints that’s for sure.
    This time she also provides us with the history of Henry The Eighth, his wives, mistresses and other concubines which managed to weave well with the story.
    Her words soar from the pages and pull you into Carter and Aspen’s story. Your heart will break with theirs, you will laugh with them and you will fear for the loss of a love that seemed fated in the stars to happen. The chemistry between Carter and Aspen is powerful, even when they were trying to fight the invisible magnetic pull I could feel it in coursing through my skin. Nothing was going to stop these two from being together even though it seemed they had so much stacked against them.
    Needless to say happily ever afters do not seem to come easy to Carter and Aspen. Their hearts always seemed to be fated to be together but something or someone always seemed to come between them. Only this time Carter isn’t going to let that happen. Come hell or high water they would be together- they had to be together.

    Their love sure doesn’t come easy. Weird neighbors, crazy exes and others seek every opportunity they possibly can to try to wedge some space between today’s version of Romeo and Juliet (Once you read it you will see where I got that from).
    A Thousand Starry Nights is one of those books where the suspense creeps up on you little by little. You know something bad is going to happen but you don’t know when or where it will happen until...BAM! Your mouth falls open and you're tossed into the chaos that ensues and just when you think it is over you are hit with more.

    In the end A Thousand Starry Nights is an amazing story of a love, loss, betrayal and fighting for a forever that was written in the stars.     What a ride. I went into this story thinking it was simply Carter and Aspen’s love story…but no, it was way more than that. At times it was layers of backstabbing and drama, but other times it was just a story of two people destined to be together…but what ever was happening….I loved every heart pounding minute of it.

    We met both Carter and Aspen in book 1, and they definitely had a story to tell, an epic story. These two fell in love years before, but life got in the way and while they never fell out of love they couldn’t be together. A shame and they both knew it. While it seemed like the coast might be clear for them to reunite it wasn’t that easy, and they really had to put their love to the test as they went through hurdles. I will admit sometimes I wanted to look away, but Carter never played any games…and I LOVED him for that.

    So confession time, I didn’t always love Aspen. She was weak more often than I’d like…and that grated on me. Now, no human is perfect and that was her flaw. However, Carter adored her whole soul, and when there’s an epic love like that it makes it so much easier to get over someone’s flaws. I did. I went with it and just willed her to move ahead and do the right thing. In the end she did.

    There was definitely some danger in this book, and looking back I should have seen the signs more clearly, but they were kind of subtle and almost led to more of a surprise at the end, which I loved.

    The ending had my heart pounding. I thought there might be some predictable things…but then there were THINGS.

    Rec it? YES! A stand alone novel within a series, so you can enjoy each book and delve back into this delcious world of Cannons and Lionhearts. I cannot wait to read Lincoln’s story!

When I started the book I was thoroughly confused with all the characters that were introduced so quickly but as I kept reading they all kind of fell into place (mind you, this is the first book that I read in the series - I am sure had I started with the first book it wouldn't have been a problem)! After the first couple chapters I was hooked!
    This is an amazing book and I highly recommend it to romance lovers! If all men could be like Carter, the world would be a beautiful place. Aspen and Carter had a love like no other. They definitely had their ups and downs but always found their way back to each other. Do not miss reading this story or the fantastic descriptive writing by this author - I can't wait to start another book by Ms. Moore!!!

    This book is way better than the first one in the series, though I gotta admit that a lot of the same grammar errors are in here, too. Moore's work is peppered with triadic structures, yet without the serial comma to label each variable as its own. There are a couple of typos (e.g.: 'violet' anger instead of violent anger—or maybe it was another hostile word, but the mistake was still the same: "violet" instead of "violent"), some comma splices, and a few fused sentences. The comma usage seems to be the author's worst problem.

    Not only that, but two major events are here just as well: the main characters getting themselves into a hospital for severe wounds and then healing and copulating like there's no tomorrow, and the pregnancies at the end. It's like the author wanted to portray a happy ending with a kid. Which is pretty cool, yes, but in two books? Not so much. Especially when they're in the same series.

    Onto some positives: Aspen and Carter are an amazing couple, and I just love how tenacious they are when it comes to their relationship. As the book progresses, we see both of them flourish, and I'm so glad about that, because Aspen was really getting on my nerves at the beginning with her pertinacity to stay with that disgusting, do-nothing of a "husband" of hers. Yuck.

    A big problem with this book: how rape was handled. That is an issue that can't be ignored the way it was. It was acknowledged, yes, but, come on! Repercussions needed to happen, and pronto.

    All in all, I do recommend this book. It'll send you in a tailspin of emotions, and it might just make you re-evaluate your life.
