    Once again Addison Moore has sucked me into another series.

    We meet Laken in the beginning of book which happens to be a car crash. She is saved, by a mystery man. She ended up in forest after the crash and something UN- Dead was near. She has no idea what this happens to be. Suddenly Mr. Mystery man shows up!! She does not know who saved her, and then she is whisked off to a life she does not know. We are not in Kansas anymore. Different name, different life...what is going on? This book is one crazy ride and I was glad I took it with Addison.

    We have dead exes, Wes. Dead brother and her little sister..Well she is not in this new life at all. The life Laken has now after the crash in woods. Hmmmm! What is going on.. Again can we just get back to Kansas! Of course not. We have counts involved in this. Are the ones behind this??
    Laken has no idea what's going on. She wants her old life back. Can she? So many new people, for us to love & hate. Cooper .. Trying to help her. Kresley I wanted to kick her booty for laken. You must meet this new cast of characters Addison has created! This story is great. Twists and turns and nothing is as it seems, or is it? I loved getting to know Laken and Cooper... Heck I even am glad I met Kresley, even though I still want to kick her. LOL!

    This book left me staring at my kindle wishing it would turn another page. I have checked back to be sure it will not move on to another chapter, just one more......
    I was hooked and hanging with the counts from the page one until the very end. Reward yourself and read it. Actually read anything that Addison Moore writes. You will not be disappointed.
    Note.. It is said Addison says characters from here might show up in Toxic part 1next book in Celestra series. I suggest you do yourself a double favor and read them all!!

    Laken is dead. Or is she? This is the not-so-reality that she is faced with, and she needs answers. In this alternate world that she awakens in, everyone around her seems to think that she is the confused one. Didn’t she die in a car accident? And why is her boyfriend, who is also supposed to be dead, in this world that she found herself in. Wanting answers and still wanting to keep her loved ones in this strange world, Laken doesn’t know where to begin. The people in this world are slightly different from the ones that she knows in reality, and it’s confusing her to the max. Cooper Cooper Cooper. This guy makes her feel all sorts of strange. Good, but strange all the same. And what about Wes? He’s supposed to be dead and she is still supposed to be grieving from his death. Can a girl catch a break from all this strangeness going on?

    I really loved this story. It was all sort of twisted from the start and made me keep reading well past my bedtime. Laken is a very likable character, and while she wasn’t my favorite, I still found her to be quite funny at times. Wes really didn’t leave an impression. His character in this alternate world was off compared to how Laken remembered him. Which isn’t unusual since everyone that she remembers from her reality is different. I really loved Cooper! He was the only one who tried to help Laken figure out what the heck was going on. The thoughts she had about him were somewhat over dramatic, but who am I to complain about someone’s thoughts about a hot guy?

    Aside from the hot guys and alternate people that she encounters in this world, there are also the un-dead. Yeppers, there are zombies in this already freaky world that Laken is subjected to spend eternity. She encounters one as soon as she wakes up and thinks that she should be dead. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see where Laken goes from here. The ending wasn’t that great in my opinion and I was expecting something major to happen aside from the obvious. Overall, a really good book that lovers of paranormal will enjoy.

    The last memory that Laken remembers is her going through her car's windshield on her way to her cheating boyfriend's house to confront him. When she gains consciousness, she finds herself implanted in a new reality where her long dead boyfriend and brother are alive, has a sister and parents that she's never met in her life, and attends a new school called Ephemeral. Wesley, her dead boyfriend from her other reality, convinces her that her fall from the tree is causing her memory loss. However, the more she discovers about this new reality, the more she believes that her old reality was a real one and that she was placed in her new life for a reason. In her journey to find out the truth, Laken meets Cooper Flanders who believes her without a doubt and helps her with unraveling the mysteries of her new reality.

    LOVED LOVED LOVED THE STORY !!!! I think I found a new author that I would love to follow. I was captivated by the book from start til end. A definite page turner and full of surprises and suspense. The world that Addison Moore created was very interesting and amazing. I've come to love all the characters especially Laken and Cooper Flanders. YES..COOPER FLANDERS ALL THE WAY. The writing style and narration was very enthralling. The way that the author wrote about the heroine's every thoughts and feelings allowed me to better connect with the character. I also loved the intensity of the love triangle. I loved Laken's devotion to Wes and also her growing feelings for Cooper. Craving for the next book already.

    While I was a little disappointed that these books are more for young adults than for "real live adults", Addison Moore's writing style is utterly amazing and it was at least that, if not the stories themselves, that kept me mesmerized the whole time I was reading them. I am now only part way through "Evanescent", and am really looking forward to finishing reading it, and then to reading the last book, "Entropy".

    The story felt like it just dragged on. I was so sick of reading the main character pining for 2 different boys, it was incredibly annoying and its like she wasn't developing as a character at all. Reviews of the second book are much better, but I don't know if I can subject myself to that sort of torture again
