    I always enjoy reading brothers/sisters best friend stories because reading sibling reactions are great. And this one had just the bit I was looking for.

    And their love blooming was even more wonderful! A feeling that had always been but never explored until the right setting. That usually makes it the best times, in fact.

    It was short, and sweet, yet lettting you capture all the feels needed, especially with wanting to smack one or two people, hehe. For sure give it a chance.

This is a quick read at (who knows!Amazon says 208, the book says 198 & #storygraph says 163! 😂😂😂) anyway a quick read. Caitlyn is finishing up her masters degree in CA. She’s home for Christmas & goes on a blind date that Campbell rescues her from. They go out on a non-date date, all evening the sexual tension builds, & they go back to his place & have sex through the night. They both end up at her brothers for dinner the next evening & again go back to his place & have sex all night. Campbell wants to tell everyone the next day & Caitlyn doesn’t since she is afraid of causing damage to everyone’s friendships. She ends up telling her family what happened. They decide to date & fall in love. This was a cute book.

    This wasn't my favorite of the series. I loved catching up with some of the other characters from the other books but this story felt anti climatic and too dramatic in other parts not necessary. Don't get me wrong, I like Caitlin and Campbell's characters. However, them stressing over disappointing Jordan was a bit much, especially his reaction. I was expecting more depth when Campbell reconnected with his father. That part of the story was lacking for me.

    The blurb says this book is "fun, lighthearted, and set during the holiday season," so I wasn't expecting an angsty, emotional read. Still, I expected something beyond several scenes of steamy, explicit sex, but this silly "romance" has nothing else. There's no drama, conflict, danger, excitement, action, suspense, or mystery. In short, it contains none of the elements that make a story interesting. It's boring, predictable, and (mercifully) short.

    Since I found no plot, I hesitate to call this a plot summary, but here goes. (WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!) Our heroine (Caitlin) and our hero (Campbell) have been friends since childhood, when they grew up as next-door neighbors in New York. Campbell even lived with Caitlin's family for two years, after his father abandoned him and his mother. Campbell became best friends with Caitlin's older brother, Jordan.

    Fast forward to the present. Caitlin is close to completing her master's degree in California and is working on her dissertation. (Really? Master's programs usually require a thesis, not a dissertation.) Campbell is a successful hedge fund analyst in New York City. When Caitlin comes home for Christmas break, she sees Campbell at a party and it's lust at first glance. She's drunk, so he insists on taking her to his apartment for the night. "You're my best friend's sister and I'm taking care of you."

    They go Christmas shopping the next day and go to a play two nights later, followed by two rounds of steamy, explicit sex in his apartment. They're back at it again the next night. (This is not a "sweet and clean" romance!) But Caitlin is afraid their love affair will ruin his relationship with her family--especially with her brother Jordan, Campbell's best friend. What will her family do when they find out?

    Well, not much. Instead of building up to some dramatic scene over this "forbidden" romance, nothing happens. Caitlin's parents are fine with it. Even Jordan--after a brief spurt of anger--accepts the idea that his "brother from another mother" is in love with his little sister. With her family's stamp of approval, our lovers exchange Christmas gifts at Campbell's apartment and enjoy more sex, of course.

    Five months later, Caitlin finally gets her master's degree and joins Campbell on a four-week tour of Europe (with more sex along the way). He proposes, she accepts, and they live Happily Ever After. That's all, folks. If you like a lighthearted romance with lots of sex and nothing else, you might enjoy this story. I didn't. Limited vulgar language (only a dozen f-bombs) and decent proofreading (just a few typos) raise my rating to two stars overall.

With Christmas coming around she unexpectedly bumps into him a Holiday party and ends p spending the night at his place. Although nothing happens she starts to see him in a way she never thought of him before.

    Great short holiday story which can be read as a standalone. I would love to read more from this series.
