    This is just a happy uplifting Christmas time story. Sophie is a strong wonderful character and I like how she stood up for herself when it was needed. I also like some of the humorous aspects of the story. This is a clean wonderful story that should be read. I like how Sophie and Seth interacted. This is just an all around great story.

    I have loved this series on Cockleshell Bay! Once again Miranda’s hospitality and love boils over to touch any strays without family over the Christmas week. Seth was hurt when his wife left him, but with the help of his friend Caleb, he pulls himself from depression and learns to move on. Now Caleb and Antonia invite him to spend Christmas with them at Cockleshell Bay. Sophie started over in Cockleshell Bay after her ex husband, Evan has an affair and leaves her. Sophie is very busy with her Graphic Design business and doesn’t take time for herself, but with help from friends, she decides to take the Christmas week off. At the first dinner of the week at Miranda’s, Sophie spills her drink on Seth’s pants. Sophie wants to disappear but Seth laughs it off. So begins a friendship between Sophie & Seth. All is going well until Evan is found on Sophie’s front porch with a sob story knowing that Sophie has a big heart. Evan takes advantage of Sophie and her new friends and snakes himself into her life and tries to blow up everything that Sophie has accomplished on her own.     Sophie and Seth have both been invited to Cockleshell Bay for the holidays. Both badly hurt by past relationships, they are wary to entering another one. Surrounded by old friends and new, they start to forge a relationship that seems great until her ex shows up and spreads lots of lies about both of them. The characters are strong, determined and ready to kick someones butt... namely Evan. The storyline has drama, lies, forgiveness, passion, caring, surprises and more. Loved the locales and the chemistry between Sophie and Seth that proves strong enough to overcome lies. Great ending at the beach.

    'Christmas At Spindrift Cottage' by Kaitlynn Clarkson is the third book in her Cockleshell Bay series and is a standalone romance with no cliffhanger set during the Christmas holidays which tells the story of Sophie Lane, a graphic designer, and Seth Cherrybook, a building contractor. Both have gone through a painful divorce and are wary of experiencing love again.
    Sophie meets Seth at Miranda's holiday party and they share a spark. Each are interested but cautious. A quiet, gentle romance is progressing quite nicely between the two of them when Sophie's ex-husband, Evan, shows up. Evan wants Sophie and his easy life back so he spreads lies about their break-up and divorce to Seth. Telling Seth that she cheated on him and it put him in a bad head space for over a year. Seth is devastated because that is what his ex-wife, Shelley, had done to him. Will Sophie be able to convince Seth Evan was lying? Will all her friends believe Evan's manipulations? What does Evan really want from Sophie?

    Ms. Clarkson has written an engaging and charming Christmas romance with likable characters. The interactions between Seth and Sophie are sweet and funny. I liked how Sophie stuck up for herself. The story is emotional, with some angst, laughs, secrets, trust issues, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some Christmas with their romance.

    I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book from Booksprout. I have loved each and every one of these stories so far, they are so heart warming, the characters are joyful and loving, they are great reads all of them. In this particular one, Sophie is a friend of the family and she is all alone. She is divorced and started over here and was immediately adopted by Miranda who doesn't want anyone to be alone. So, of course, at Christmastime, she wouldn't let Sophie be alone and invited her to all the activities and family gatherings, little did Sophie know a new man would show up named Seth invited by someone in Miranda's family, would there is a spark between them, if so, would it last forever or would he leave after Christmas?

    The story is easy to enjoy as it's well written, captivating, sweet, clean and heartwarming. You love getting to know the characters with every turn of the page. They're realistic, easy to relate to and you feel like you've known them for years. Spindrift Cottage is a place I would love to visit if it existed in real life!

    I loved getting to read about the characters from Spindrift Cottage and how welcoming Miranda is to people that don’t have a place to go or family of their own to spend holidays with. This is how Sophie and Seth first meet. Sophie was welcomed into Miranda’s family when she first came to town. Seth was invited to spend the holidays at Spindrift Cottage because his friend, Caleb and his wife asked him. There are a lot of wonderful characters in this book, but Seth isn’t one of my favorite characters and that’s just my opinion because he was thinking about his attraction to both Sophie and Judith. He changed his mind about Judith, when she revealed some information to him. Grab your copy and see if you agree with my thoughts about Seth.
