What happens when you fall in love with your best friend?

Introspective, sensitive Sam and loyal, kind-hearted Will are best friends who grew up together on neighboring farms. They’ve shared everything — until Sam leaves for college and shuts Will out of his life.

Determined not to lose his best friend, Will confronts Sam at their favorite swimming hole and forces the situation to a passionate confrontation. That hot and steamy summer changes their lives forever.

After an agonizing fall semester spent a thousand miles apart, they finally make it home for the holidays, but spending Christmas with their small-town families brings an unexpected set of challenges.

An escape to nearby Chicago proves to be the perfect way to spend their first New Year's Eve together. As they grow their relationship against the backdrop of the Windy City's vibrant gay community and fall deeper in love, new experiences and new choices give them the most memorable experiences of their life together so far.

But will the biggest obstacle in the way of their happiness be Sam himself?

Experience the story of a lifelong friendship that transforms into a love unlike any other. Read the pair of erotic romance novels that reviewers are calling “captivating,” “uplifting,” “tender,” “sexy,” “gorgeous,” and “a romantic coming-of-age tale that will sweep you away,” and experience what it's like to fall in love for the very first time.

I took my precious time reading this book because it provided such comfort, I didn't want to waste that feeling. It is clear that the author loves her characters, all of them. The way she writes them, takes care of them and puts so much love into telling their story is clear. I loved how much she wrote about food, bathing, affection, tenderness, every day affection and love. I felt loved reading this. I felt taken care of. I felt fed with the most delicious foods. Clara so obviously loves her city of Chicago. Her descriptions of all the wonderful places in the city make me want to go there and experience them for myself, and maybe hope to run into her characters Will and Sam (and Greg and Kevin, why not?). This love story is beautifully written, I cried quite often from how sensitive and tender the characters were with one another. Do yourself a favor and read this book. I hope you find it as comforting and necessary to have around as I did/do. Also, the sex scenes are hot...

I can't say enough about how much I adore this story. I fell in love with the characters immediately, completely engrossed in their world. Their passion for each other felt so real, their love impossible not to champion. Even without the geographical familiarity, the author made the settings feel like home. The story wrapped me up in its arms and held me close until the end. I can't wait to read it all over again.

I love this book. I've read and re-read it already in the e-version and know that I'll read it many more times in the future. I love Sam and Will's developing relationship and the sweetness of their love. The story is sexy (so sexy!) and a love letter to Chicago. It's one of my favorites and I can't wait to revisit it again and again. It's like comfort food. Satisfying and soothing and healing.

I read this on my Kindle and absolutely loved it and wanted to own the hard copy. It is one of my all-time favorite romances, both Sam and Will work hard to be the boyfriend that any of us would adore. Childhood best friends and then their relationship in high school changes into something stronger. Yet, they don't figure out that the other feels the same way until they're off to college. Gorgeous and heartfelt sex scenes (plus they're guaranteed to melt you into a puddle of aching need), an amazing winter trip to Chicago, fantastic side stories with Will's mom, Sam's backstory and awesome side characters.
