Bestselling Dark Fantasy like you've never seen before.
"The Jungle Book meets Kill Bill... with dragons!"
Born of humans but raised by beasts who despise the legacy of man, Keelin is the only one who can redeem, or destroy, the future of both races.
Keelin is the only human fledgling, weaned by the drackans of the High Hills and given their instincts, ferocious strength, and fierce hatred for humankind. But even the drackans closest to her cannot explain why she has violent blackouts from which she wakens covered in blood.
A desperate, reckless search for the source of this secret brings her face to face with the human world and memories from a locked-away past, long forgotten. Keelin becomes a terrifying legend among human assassins while she hunts for answers, and the human realm's High King is murdered.
While a sickly steward hides within crumbling walls, commanding her every move with a magic he should not possess, Keelin's journey to track him down threatens her loyalty to the drackans who raised her. The rogue who crosses her path hides familiar secrets, echoing her own terrifying bloodlust and forcing her to consider that there may be something human about her after all.

Interesting story
A human girl raise by Darman who discovers humans and ends up getting drawn back into their world while discovering the mystery of her blackouts. Was interesting and addicting to see what age would discover next.
Great
Wow what a great reading time this book offered I was hooked from the beginning. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline carried me to the end . I am looking forward to reading more.

Awesome Book that the end of series next book destroys.
This is the first of a two book series, and actually this book is a 5+ star book. Just be warned the very last chapter of book 2 throws everything in the toilet and completely ruins an awesome series.
The dark fantasy in this book was beautifully written and I connected with the MC Keelin right away and every chapter I loved this character even more. You actually felt her emotions at times and that really added to tention of the story. Throughout all of book 1 and book 2 until the last chapter Kellin grows as a better person and learns who she is and how to interact with people, even people she grew up being told to hate.
I really, really loved this book and I am so MAD at the last chapter and epilog of book 2. I gave book 1 three stars as it should not be totally punished for the end of the series in the next book. However I did waste a lot of time and resources reading this book only to be made to feel sick at the end of the series. This entire book and all the growth of the MC was a waste.
