I had always been able to accomplish anything I had put my mind to.

A complete and total mind warp!
I purchased this book from the author during a charity auction. (Irony) A complete and total mind warp! I was shocked. Then flabbergasted. And ended up Dumbfounded!! OMG! If you are looking for happy romance with an HEA, keep looking. If you like things that go bump in the night and may give you nightmares, then read on. Criminal minds has nothing on Yolanda Olson! lol

    Troy Cahill is a sexy farmer, he had a sever head injury when he was a young child which lead to blackouts which he still has in adulthood and he also appears to have two personalities. Troy meets Poasy who is two days shy of 17 and a runaway. Troy talks her into going to see the animals on his farm and drugs her, when she wakes up she is chained in a room under the stable. Troy has her change into a dress and tells her they are going to the corral, when they get there he unchains her and explains that runners are shot. She is traded and for the next seven years she is traded several times. She survives seven years of physical and mental hell and then is traded back to Troy. He brands her as his property and starts to treat her nicer than any of the others although he is still evil and mean and makes her do things to survive but he has softened towards her and he seems more stable.
    Troy has held Posy for 3 years. Posy feels the need to buy him a birthday present so she asks if she can take his truck into town, Troy allows her to, when she isn't back in two and a half hours Troy thinks she may have escaped but a few minutes later H ears his truck and the door closing, Posy brings his gift to him a new border collie pup, Troy thanks her and tells her what he really wants is for her to run.
    Yolanda has delivered one hell of a story again. Loved the book and Loved the characters even Troy.

    I loved Deep Blue!!! It was a different than any other book I've read that dealt with the same subject matter. I actually liked the characters and was rooting for them. There was one part I HATED, but luckily it was quick and I was able to get past it and still enjoy the story. The ending though!!! 😱

    Deep Blue. Can I just say WOW?! This book had me hooked right from the start. It's about a runaway girl, Posy, who meets Troy, an adorable cowboy, only to find out he's not so adorable. The psychopath trades Posy to whatever hell awaits her with a new owner, promising that when the time is right he will get her back.

    The prologue was intense and had my heart racing like you wouldn't believe. And then chapter one jumped back a few years to lead up to it. In fact the book was broken up into sections. After the prologue the story jumped ahead a few times. It was not an abrupt change and was done very tastefully. I found that it created an understanding of how long this went on and how conditioned Posy was by her captors. I was only slightly confused because at first I wasn't completely sure at what point the prologue actually took place. But it did become apparent as I read on.

    This book is not for the faint of heart. It is dark and I will openly admit I got ill over one part in particular. It was so gut wrenching to read, but again, very important to the storyline.

    I found very few grammatical mistakes, that quite honestly could just have been typos. I highly recommend this book for those interested in a dark and twisty read. I still can't get it out of my head. THAT is the mark of a fantastic book.

    “The Corral Deep Blue” is the first book I’ve read by Yolanda Olson, and I will most certainly be working my way through the rest of her books. “Deep Blue” is book 1 of a duet.

    Posy, already having a challenging background, is taken by Troy. Troy has two sides—the good and the bad- explained why. Author Yolanda Olson conveyed the creepiness of Troy so well. And the way the story is presented had me going, what the puck several times.

    I’ll be jumping quickly to book 2!

    Talk about a great, crazy read! Yolanda packed a punch with this one by giving us quite an emotional, crazy, fast paced read and I for one will never look at a flower garden the same again without thinking about Troy's unique one he kept on his farm! Posy doesn't realize that her life is about to be forever changed when she stops for a rest in a little town. Meeting Troy sets off a chain of events that gets her sold. From then on, poor Posy is subjected to one crazy to the next. But there is no way Posy or me for that matter, was ready for the type of crazy that would have her in the end.

    Troy of course is hot but A LOT crazy. It was nice to see his POV some though because I never once thought about his issues being what they are. And his issues run deep believe me. It really was more than anything I could have anticipated from just reading the blurb. Loved it!

    Troy Cahill is a handsome man, but don't let his appearance fool you !!

    He has so many demons lurking inside of him and he is a psycho in a nutshell. I love the fact that Yolanda has created such a complicated character. This is my first book I have read by Yolanda and I was hooked on her messed up world full of blood and darkness. Troy meets Posy and her life turns upside down, taking a dark turn. How sorry I feel for Posy for what she experiences, but it seems like this cruel man ends up having some feelings towards lovely Posy. This is very dark and shocking read. if you don't know Yolanda, you should know that she doesn't do sweet endings.

    This is a really disturbing first book of the duet.
    I had no idea what was this book about and not that I am disappointed, on the contrary, but checking the trigger warnings are mandatory.
    Posy is kidnapped and sold by Tory.
    And the rest is twisted, weird and unsettling.

    Is it wrong that I really enjoyed that? Perhaps! But I bloody enjoyed this! There was no hearts and flowers, there was no hea, yet it was so dark and twisted I loved it! But that ending... You lose a star for that ending because there's so much left unsaid!
