    The storyline that appears in the series is not my usual choice, but I love Hope Callaghan's writing style, and plot lines in a couple of other book series she writes that I follow. I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed.

    I like how Jo advises the ladies who live at the halfway house for recently released female convicts, and helps when she can, but she lets them make their own decisions and deal with the ramifications afterwards. All the characters are very distinct, and unique personalities that work together for the greater good, while helping each other build confidence in themselves, learn to trust again and develop lasting friendships.

    The cast of characters are believable and not "cookie cutter" men and women who tell the same story. They each have their own story. Jo's patience and understanding of mental health issues is excellent and a view that readers need to see. The religious references were few and subtle and not preachy, especially good when the reading audience is made up of members from different religious backgrounds.

    I'd definitely recommend this book. It is another book series written by Hope Callaghan that I will continue to follow! issues, some are more abrasive than others, and how they deal with real problems that most of the readers have never experienced well done. The interaction between them, their situations, the animals, etc. make for an interesting, sometimes dramatic and sometimes funny read. The author works in humor to break the tension in the right places. The text helps the reader visualize and empathize with them all, and their trials in life.

    Jo is smart, compassionate, logical (which helps her in tough situations), and has a heart of gold. This book was hard to put down and it had a very satisfactory ending.

    There is always a mystery, and an adventure, involved in the Divine series.
    The characters are a collection of personalities that keep each book filled with topics of interest, and discoveries of new insight concerning the farm, businesses, and progress of the ladies personal growth. The more you understand the characteristics of the residents, the more you become enamored with them.

    At last!!!! Another book in the Divine Series has been released and, once again, Hope Callaghan has hit it out of the ballpark!! Home Run!!!

    A property close to Jo Pepperdine's property has become available and could be useful in expanding her farming potential. But when she drove out to meet the owner last one evening, something felt "off". On the property sat the remains of a family home which had burned to the ground...with all three residents still inside. Only Kelsey, the family's daughter who had not been home the night of the fire, survived. She had been suspected of starting the fire and had left town shortly afterwards. Now she was back in town to sell the property.

    Jo did not see anyone around when she pulled into the driveway and decided to try again another day. She turned her SUV around to head back out of the driveway when a flash of pink caught her eye. Suddenly, a woman jumped out in front of Jo's moving vehicle and, before she could stop, thump! The woman had been struck!

    This book starts fast right off and is a page turner right up to the end with more twists and turns that the old country road Jo was driving! This is book 9 in the Divine series, all of which are worthy of your time! The books are clean and wholesome and will leave you on the edge of your seat begging for more!!!!!!!
