Diary of the Displaced - The Complete Dark Sci-Fi Series (Books 1-6) Kindle Edition
Book 1 – The Journal of James Halldon
Book 2 – The Broken Lands
Book 3 – The Ways
Book 4 – Footprints
Book 5 – Where No River Falls
Book 6 – Redux
There is a place where nightmares are real. A dark and terrifying place that is hidden from the world we know, by borders that only the most unfortunate of souls will ever cross. James Halldon woke up in the dark, alone. No food. No water. No light. Almost no memories of his past. Things moved in the darkness around him. Things that growled. And daytime never seemed to come.
"Of all the places I had to end up, it had to be here." Readers are calling the DIARY OF THE DISPLACED series: "A wild ride through a stunning imagination." ... "An epic journey through places best left in darkness." ... "I was hooked in the first few pages." ... "Mysterious, compelling, and brilliantly imagined." ... "Unpredictable with great character development." ... "Great books...enjoyed from first word to last." ... "Unexpectedly excellent!" ... "Very bizarre and imaginative."
If it's dark when you wake up, and you can hear growling, then close your eyes and maybe it will go away. But maybe it won't.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2025Hindsight is always 20 20. The story is exciting and interesting with characters that are unique and descriptive. The story follows the characters through struggles that resulted in many deaths. The end comes too quick after a future vision, but the story is worth reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2021First this is an amazing , very creative author and I loved this series but get a dang editor please!!!! It ruins books when there are so many grammatical errors
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2020I started this series because I received the book for free and I was hooked from the first few paragraphs! This is a really fabulous sci fi/ dystopian series and I enjoyed every book and short story in the series immensely. These are the kind of books that I would think about all day during work and as soon as I had free time I would bury my nose in it until I finished it passed out from exhaustion. With the entire collection available at this price you don’t have much to lose by giving it a go!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2021I reviewed the first book in this series elsewhere. Because I enjoyed it enough I bought the second book. Realizing I was going to continue until I read them all, I located this version with all of the books and purchased it. The story continued to delight and keep my interest.
However, the 3rd or 4th book in this collection is FULL of errors. Repeated, dropped, incorrect words and phrases throughout made it very difficult to follow along. Someone seriously needs to fix this.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2022There were so many errors in grammar, sentence structure and punctuation that it was taking much time to submit corrections so I gave up. Some areas need to be rewritten.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reading
Diary of the Displaced is a dark, eerie mix of sci-fi and horror that kept me hooked. James wakes up in a strange, nightmarish world with no idea how he got there, and the mystery only deepens from there. The atmosphere is unsettling, the world-building is immersive, and the story is full of unexpected twists. Some parts are slower, but the tension and mystery make it worth it. If you like survival horror with a sci-fi twist, this series is definitely worth a read!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Engaging Tale
Have read a few of Glynn's book, and by far this is the best. I only gave it 4 stars as although the story is excellent, and I hope more is written around this universe, especially in book 5 there were numerous grammatical errors that spoilt the flow. Whomever proof read this needs to think about a different job.
I would again reiterate that this an excellent tale and well worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic series well worth the read
Diary of the displaced and Glynn James were a trip into a genre that I don't normally read and they have been an amazing find.
Dystopian adventure, fantasy, horror and intrigue make this to be a series you will return to over and over again.
The way Glynn writes his books I have yet to see in another author. The corridor where James Halldon wakes up with no recall to how he got there or even how such a place exists. Things lurking in the dark staying just out of sight. Are they friend or foe or just waiting for the right moment to strike. The characters that he meets are out of this world(literally) and the further he goes the more he depends on his new companions. Who's the great beast so he'll bent on killing him and turning him In to an abomination.
The edge of your seat moments are fast and often and makes each book a single sitting read.
The last thing I can say about these books and the author is the way in which every character and every place is intertwined is phenomenal. I was left jaw agape.
Enjoy and get ready to own every book that Glynn writes.
