Beautiful

There aren't enough words to explain the emotions running through my mind right now. This book takes you on a journey, one I think we've all been through ourselves. Scary stories that stick around hours after you've put them down, and finally a story that touches your heart and wraps up a wonderfully well written novel. You won't be disappointed.

Great collection of chilling and thought provoking tales

Great collection of chilling tales perfect for late night reading! Refreshing spins on everything from zombies to Lovecraft, as well as some completely new concepts. I appreciate the dark humor of "The Importance of Being Eaten" and the disturbing imagery of the unsettling "The Invitation". The tearjerker "Joe's Attic" was worth the price of admission alone. A dynamic new voice for fans of King, Joe Hill, and McCammon among others.

If you need to be well rested tomorrow don't start this book tonight.

I loved Dreadful from beginning to end. It's a perfect book to pick up anytime, but I dare you to find the strength to put it down. As a voracious reader of every genre I could get my hands on, since I beat Dan Quayle in a spelling contest in 1992, I find LP ranks with the greats of horror. His twisted perspective on urban legends, revenge, and purgatory will invade your waking thoughts and haunt your dreams. I anticipate more great work from this author, and will wait impatiently for his next book.
