JT/GJ. have penned a SYFY action adventure, of the time long after the Apocalypse, titled "The Parting of Ways", which begins with the split of the Elk Clan. There are those that believe it is no longer safe to make their yearly excursion to the past. The other wants to make the trip knowing full well of the dangers that exist. A clan from the North has taken over the sacred site. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

I've really enjoyed this book Dustfall 2, and Dustfall 1, and I bought Dustfall 3 before I finished book 2.

The journey continues in this second book of the series. I am so glad I found it! The clan separated and one collected more followers and one found mostly death. Seren has a new friend. On to the third book.

This one picks up right where book 1 left us, and thankfully we didn't have to wait long. Of course we're left with another cliffhanger for book 3 but this one feels much more complete than the first. The first half is slow and steady and involves my favorite chapters in the series yet, told from the point of view of the best character from both books, Seren. The book gives more answers than I was expecting for a planned long running series. Questions like what will happen when Gaston's group makes it to the White Citadel are answered to a satisfying degree. It's the second half of the book where the action really ramps up and the authors really show their comfort with the cast of characters. That certainly makes me excited for the future of the series.

There are several interconnected groups with interesting story lines and character development for the main protagonists in each, there is going to be bloodshed and some of the main characters are going to come to some harm I'm guessing. Can't wait for the next one. I'd have no hesitation recommending to anyone that likes dystopian story telling.
