Mail Order Bride - Montana Bargain: Historical Cowboy Romance Novel (Echo Canyon Brides Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 720 ratings

When marriage is little more than a business proposition, everyone's heart should stay safe... But what happens when a deep and passionate love blossoms?

Dr. Erin Avery didn’t fight her way through medical school only to be kept from her dream of practicing medicine. She’ll do anything to make that dream come true… even if it means marrying a stranger from another state.

Echo Canyon is on the verge of extinction, and the town badly needs a doctor… and veterinarian Winslow Wu needs a wife. Combining the two seems like the perfect solution, and when he places an ad not just for a bride, but for a wife who can become the town’s physician, he’s determined that they’ll be married within the week.

Both Erin and Win are determined to fulfill their dreams, and they’re willing to sacrifice true love to get them… Neither of them expects to fall in love for real.

But their attraction is immediate, and their mutual respect and passion grow into a deep love. Everything seems perfect… Until the dark undercurrents in Echo Canyon begin to seep into their newfound happiness.

Lies, deceit, and evil are at work in the town, and as drama unfolds around them, Erin and Win are caught in the crossfire. Win’s temper is boiling, and he’s unable to keep his anger from her.

Will they be able to forgive each other… Or has Echo Canyon’s dark side gotten under their skin? Could their business-agreement-turned-love-story be over before it’s even begun?

Mail-Order Bride: Montana Bargain is the second book in the Echo Canyon Brides series. Passionate romance meets action and drama in this gripping tale… You’ll be on the edge of your seat for the whole ride.

Writing is a labor of love for Linda Bridey, whose works are consistently on several top 100 best-selling romance book lists. Since starting her writing career in earnest, Linda has written thirty-seven books and counting, which have gained great popularity. Readers are drawn to her vivid writing of mail-order bride and historical romance stories, many of which deal with social issues, and always include humor and heart.

Her Westward series, which includes twenty-three books, is set in Dawson, Montana. When the series ended, her readers wanted more of the characters they'd come to know and love--so much so that it prompted her to create the Dawson Chronicles, which picks up the stories of many of the descendants of the original characters, but can also be read as a stand-alone series.

Linda's Echo Canyon series, tells the story of a small Montana town on the verge of extinction after the collapse of the mining industry in the region. It shows the ingenuity of the Echo's inhabitants in how they come together to save the town they love. All is not always as it seems in Echo with mystery, suspense, and romance abound!

Another great installment in the (Echo Canyon Brides saga) This charming and intriguing cast of characters continues to bring to life a complex story where their are more twists and turns to the continuing drama in this little western town .Can't wait for the next book!

"Fluffy" books or stories are ones that have a fun story center even though it is usually not believable. In addition, the author doesn't adhere to what would be known, or said, or done by the characters.. the book also HAS to be an enjoyable read. Usually a pet is involved and in this book I think the burro made a pet of Dr. Wu rather than the other way around.

Yes, the concept of this story is beyond believable, but I enjoyed it. This was the first book I read in the series. And also the first by this author.

Loved this book! It is so entertaining, all the way thru. It will have you laughing, crying, angry, relieved, the whole emotional gamit, and leave you wanting more. I do warn you it is addicting, and the series has at least 21 books. I am currently reading # 7 of the series. Each book is as good, or better than the rest, and each story fresh, not redundant.

I am so embarrassed, but the review I had written was for another of Linda Brideys Mail Order Bride series... The Westward Series. While I do have this book, I have not yet read it. Please accept my apologies. Everything I mentioned does apply to the Westward Series though, and if this book follows her great writing skills, I am looking forward to becoming addicted to it too!

I love the series by Linda Bridey. My only problem is that they end (like with Montana Mail Order Brides - I'm still hoping to read about DJ's story! HINT HINT).... So far this series is warming up to be another WINNER! I'm really enjoying the characters and can't wait to learn more about them. Plus how this series might tie back into the Montana Mail Order Bride Series. It would be neat to see them full circle.

Diverse characters, suspense, and love. Once again, Ms.Bridey delivered a story that is hard to put down. The interpersonal relationships between the diverse characters are well thought out and well written. The antagonist is a character you love to hate. I found myself wishing for him and his secret to be revealed so justice could be gotten. I really hope it is not too long until the next book. This series is addictive!

These are enjoyable of how they found their mates. If thru dreams of a better life, or a dream to practice medicine. Even in the west the shadows of evil and their past can cause problems.
Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

The story has a nice flow. I liked the way characters are introduced and lead through the story. I am hooked on the series now. But I'm still not happy about the villain getting away. On to the next installment.
