Writing is a labor of love for Linda Bridey, whose works are consistently on several top 100 best-selling romance book lists. Since starting her writing career in earnest, Linda has written thirty-seven books and counting, which have gained great popularity. Readers are drawn to her vivid writing of mail-order bride and historical romance stories, many of which deal with social issues, and always include humor and heart.

Her Westward series, which includes twenty-three books, is set in Dawson, Montana. When the series ended, her readers wanted more of the characters they'd come to know and love--so much so that it prompted her to create the Dawson Chronicles, which picks up the stories of many of the descendants of the original characters, but can also be read as a stand-alone series.

Linda's Echo Canyon series, tells the story of a small Montana town on the verge of extinction after the collapse of the mining industry in the region. It shows the ingenuity of the Echo's inhabitants in how they come together to save the town they love. All is not always as it seems in Echo with mystery, suspense, and romance abound!

I am so happy that this book has given me such pleasure, hope and joy!

I was very impressed with Arrow's insight on the hatred and prejudices of some people. He hit it on the head when he said that we should not judge others, we should not expect them to fully assimilate to please others.

We all need to learn about others ways, and accept them as we would want them to accept us. Each of us is a unique creation of God's for he created all men and women! No race is better than the other! Jehovah God and his Son, Christ Jesus love all of us! So should we not all love one another? I say YES!!!

I do hope this is not the end of Echo's stories. I so much love all the characters and want to learn more about them. Andi and Arliss getting married and having children, Nick and Maura having children, twins or even triplets would be fantastic. And dear Gino needs to find a wonderful spirited woman!

I'm looking forward to more of Echo and Dawson (I've read the new book about it and left a review, I hope you read it). I look forward to the next book in that series too!

    Thank you Linda!

I have come to absolutely love both of Linda Bridey's series. I am currently in the middle of reading the new American Mail-Order Bride series of 50 books. However, nothing could prevent me from putting that series on hold to read the current Echo Canyon title. Ms. Bridey does not disappoint, with each book getting better and better. I love her characters and delight in "seeing " them all in each new addition. Nick is flawed but wonderful and Maura has the strength you can't imagine. If you haven't read her "Montana Mail-Order Bride" series, where I started, do yourself a favor. Then continue on to Echo Canyon. I believe she will be returning to Dawson, the town from the first series, and I can't wait for that title to be released. Of course, I am anxiously awaiting the next release in this series so we can see Gino find his true love. Please enjoy, you won't be sorry to start these series.

Very good book/writing!!!! I was hoping at first it was Gino she liked, but no Nick was it and they are a good pair!!! Helped each other!!! Family and friends were also good support!!!! That Indian deal was sure something else back then, glad Arliss knew people. I have learnt from prior relationships that hurt that now they weren't in God's path for me, thank you!!!!

I’m glad that this author puts Indians in a great light. Indians have always been made to suffer. Taking their land and taking children away from their families. What a disgrace. I’m glad that along the way some people had kind ways and tried to help.

I am a very big fan of Dawson but a very big fan of Echo Canyon as well
Again a wonderful book where you enjoy the different culture and religion living and helping each other.
I loved than Nick could have his own story with Maura.
    They deserve happiness
I laughed ( Basco) and cried and have such a wonderful time with all the citizens.
Linda Bridey always bring so much details and great dialogues to her stories.
She always does a wonderful job to keep the track of all the characters, they all are so special.

Maura goes into the Terranova home while they are in another town attending the wedding of their daughter Vanna to Arrow. She eats all the sardines and a jar of pickles and sleeps in a bedroom that seems no one else has used. The family comes home and finds her there and traps her as she tries to run away. The second night she is there she finds Nick has had to much to drink and he is sick. Maura helps Nick in more ways than one that night and these two are drawn to each other as Sal and Lulu were. A lot goes on in that s story to change some things in Echo Canyon, another good read from Linda Bridey.

I liked the book enough to finish it, but this is the 1st book of this series that I have read. Theirs so much going on about characters in previous books, the author is trying to catch you up on them, that it becomes a little confusing.

What a marvelous story with a surprise ending!!! You will not be disappointed. Now on to the next book which I suspect will be great also.

I like the characters, the story and the premise but I found the flow a bit jerky with this one. There were times when I wasn't exactly sure who the scene was about. It's still funny and interesting but it felt a bit rushed. I'm still going to read the next one.
