4.6 out of 5 stars 242 ratings

All the other schools turned her down. Her last remaining option could spell her annihilation.

Box Set: 900+ pages of breathtaking academy fantasy, bubbling with compelling classmates and wild creatures.

Eighteen-year-old Lyssa Eldridge’s university prospects keep going up in smoke. But even after her final rejection notice ignites in her hands and sparks her latent abilities, she’s sure her supposed admission into Dragondale Academy of Druidic Magic is just a sick joke. Until her recruiter arrives and whisks her into a world of elemental powers, shady professors… and a spate of vicious student attacks.

Ill-equipped to handle her aggressive pet hippogryff, facing a looming werewolf war, and dealing with snarky refugees from other academies, Lyssa’s tired of being an outsider playing catch-up. But she’ll have to master her out-of-control gifts to have any hope of defeating a relentless foe: a deadly druid filled with blood rage.

Will Lyssa graduate from spellcasting failure to school saviour, or is she destined to fatally flunk out?

Druid Academy: The Complete Series contains all three books in the sensational Druid Academy fantasy series. If you like lighthearted adventure, enchanting twists and turns, and mythical beasts, then you’ll love C. S. Churton’s stunning realm.

C. S. Churton was born and raised in Essex, England, where she still lives, surrounded by an ever-growing collection of four-legged creatures (to the deep disgust of relatives who feel she should add a *two* legged creature to her family!)

As a child, she grew up with her nose constantly in a book, transporting her to far away worlds of magic, mystery, and adventure. As an adult, she strives to create that same sense of escapism and freedom for others, and has found a whole new realm of enjoyment through writing.

This was pretty good and if you had not read the Harry Potter series it would have been excellent.Things were changed around a bit and some of the twists were very nicely done. The biggest advantage to this book in my opinion is that it is not nearly as dark as its counterpart.

I often wonder what it would be like to have magical powers that you do not understand and what a pain it would be learning how to control them. In this book, those processes are better explained. This book is clearly what I would expect a younger reader to enjoy, though it is perfectly readable by older readers.

This whole series really was awesome. I am definitely rereading this, and anything else by this talented author. The world building was excellent. I loved the action, the interplay between the characters, and the characters themselves. I wish I could attend this academy. Each book had a nice wrap up, which I truly appreciate, since I hate cliffhangers. The final wrap up was very satisfying. I am sad to say goodbye to these characters, which to me is the sign of a well written series. I am happy that a spin off series is mentioned. Please bring it out very soon. I highly recommend this series and this author. Anyone wondering if they should read it should stop wondering and dive in! You won't regret it.

She thought she was just a normal human being, a "mundane" to those with magic. Little did she know she was adopted at a very young age, at least until she is called to the druid Academy. And finds that she is so much more than a mundane. In fact, she and her friends (and one frenemy) fight a war to save all the druid Academies against an evil druid who is very powerful, and her father! Can they beat the evil druid and save the academies?

Both myself and my teenager read the complete series. It is a fun read, not to complicated. All the books have an amazing plot, not just a repeat of the last. We both enjoyed the ending, all was wrapped up nicely. A good reminder that family is what you choose to make it. We definitely recommend this book to all ages who want a fun read.

It has to be said, Druid Academy is redolent with the imagery of other books, most notably Harry Potter combined with shade of Twilight and Avatar - The Last Airbender. Anyone who has read the aforementioned books will find themselves making comparisons as they read through Druid Academy. That said, Druid academy has a tantalizing premise, intriguing characters, and evocative writing that puts the reader in Lyssa's world.
Although there are some inconsistencies with sentence tense and editing details, Druid Academy is a good, solid story with enough mystery, twists and surprises to keep a reader interested.

    Well planned trilogy

Great editing. I saw no spelling mistakes.

Story reminds me of Harry Potter. But still very enjoyable and easy to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking sense of humour
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 8, 2025
Lovely books, read them in a few days. Love the main characters ( authors) sense of humour.
Lyssa is unexpectedly invited into the Druid world where she attends the academy. There are similarities to The Harry Potter books, but this only makes them more fun. You can almost hear certain characters through some of the staff members.
Loving horses, I took an instant liking to the Griffs in the stories, and their antics.
I would recommend these books for anyone who likes a bit of young adventure, magic, heroism and an occasional chuckle.

5.0 out of 5 stars A decent fluff read

Not nearly as good as Harry Potter, but acceptable. Very much like Harry Potter, so if you like boarding schools with uniforms, magic and mythological beasts then this is for you. Caveat: this is supposed to be about druids but it really isn’t. Also, the characters are supposed to be adults, 18-19, but they are very immature. If you substitute witches for druids and 12-year-olds for adults, it works. Finally, the three volumes really make one book. I would not recommend them singly.

This box set was fun to read and very enjoyable. Lots of laughs along the way with the snarky lead character but also the lows and highs of life. Would recommend this set.
