    The novel "Converted" in two parts ("Trained to Worship/Trained to Serve") thrills my masochistic soul. (Please see all my reviews of Ms. Pain’s work. I am writing like a frustrated professional "reviewer," I admit, but I am a bona fide reader and purchaser of her book. I am a psychiatrist and I think her writing deserves my best.)

    Cruella’s paragraphs progress one following another as verbal aphrodisiacs that spike erotic fevers like carpet bombs. Here's the gist of just one such paragraph, no more outstanding than any of her other marvelous paragraphs: While leaving home Elliot passes a cruel intruder walking in on the front door of his home. Elliot was commanded by Mistress Misery to leave a key to his home under the doormat for this sexual slave and predator. Elliot realizes this predator will install sinister objects in Elliot’s absence like perhaps a cage to incarcerate him. Because he has now been conditioned to lust for his libidinal suffering Elliot shudders “half in fear, half in pleasure, knowing that [the objects will] hardly be for his benefit, but then maybe they [will] be. It was hard to tell good from bad. Fair is foul, and foul is fair, he thought, remembering the line from somewhere. He had a feeling it was spoken by a coven of witches, which made it all the more appropriate.” Elliot's bewitchment is evil and cruel . . . but exquisitely pleasurable.
    Yes, Ms. Pain is Shakespearean, but with the common touch. (Read the samples; Cruella writes sparkling, pleasant prose.) In this paragraph as through the rest of the book she mixes erotic pleasure with erotic pain, concocting a witch’s brew that absolutely obsesses me. Cruella sustains my sense of Elliot’s erotic obsession and psychic imprisonment for an impossibly long while -- to a sticking point of horrific identification with the obsessed protagonist. Cruella’s stories make you wonder if you are actually being cock-teased by an ultimate, tease and denial, femdom Mistress . . . and you are. It shows again Cruella’s amazing bent for making substance of internal matters -- tormenting, salacious ruminations of the mind. I think she does “stream of consciousness,” as well as Virginia Woolf or Faulkner, creating astonishing intimacy with Elliot's dulcetly depraved thoughts.

    Cruella deftly develops characters using devices such as a “coffee circle of friends” and a “volunteer library position” to spin her web of personalities who will seem innocent but will later hone erotic sadism to a genitally lacerating edge (ouch!) Don't tell anyone, but Cruella is cruel to be kind . . .

    "Cruel, evil, and without mercy, Converted part 1 is a fantastic story by dominatrix and female supremacist Cruella Pain.  Cruella tells the story of Elliot who is seduced, tricked, blackmailed, and trained to worship in a life of female domination.  Elliot is hopelessly outmatched by the predator whose clutches he has fallen into and every attempt to escape only leads him deeper into depravity.  This story includes anal, chastity, domination, femdom, trickery, mind games, blackmail, maid service, and other bdsm themes."

    This book was especially appealing/frightening to me because I saw something of myself in the main character, and the ease and inevitable power with which the Domme reduced him to a pathetic possession grovelling at Her Feet was both inspiring and terrifying. I have read all of Cruella Pain's books, and they are all unforgettable. They live inside you ever afterwards, for better or worse. Be warned!
