Fright Bites: Short Tales of Terror (Stories for Late at Night) Kindle Edition
Seemingly innocent, but these and other innocuous moments form the seeds of terror in these stories from Micah Edwards. Each is a tense tale of terror, self-contained and ready to keep you up late at night, too afraid to turn off the lights.
So, dive in if you dare, and discover that, from construction zones to attics to the blankets of your own bed, nothing is safe. Nothing is secure. And nothing can protect you from the horrors that await.

About the authors
Micah Edwards graduated from William & Mary with a degree in English and no particular plans to use it. He now finds himself occupying various roles as an author, a comedian and a database administrator, depending on the day of the week. He resides in Richmond, Virginia, the world’s premiere home of authors named Micah Edwards.
His works run the gamut from superhero noir, as seen in the Experiment series, to non-fiction conversational retellings of the Bible. He has re-written horror stories for children and fairy tales for adults.
In addition to his books, he is also a regular contributor on the NoSleep subreddit, as well as maintaining his author subreddit at http://www.reddit.com/r/micahwrites.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2019This book was recommended to me by a podcast that I listen to, “Scary Stories Told in the Dark.” Being a grad student, I don’t have a lot of time to sit down and read a whole novel so I have been sticking to podcasts. I found that this collection of short scary stories was perfect for the spooky season of October as well as fit my busy schedule! The stories are punchy, spooky, and draw you in quickly! Honestly it is hard to put down! :)
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2023I gave this a three because some of the last few stories were confusing as in, I couldn't understand what the author was getting at. Most were fun to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2023The stories were ok. Some caught my attention but a few I had to push through to read them, no matter how short they were.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2022It’s a great compilation of horror shorts. Perfect length for each “bite”, consistently high quality throughout the book. Good variety of styles too, nothing felt repetitive.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2022If you like well-written horror short stories, you should read this. It’s as simple as that.
Do it now. Pancakes
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2021Enjoyable, frightening, quick read of terrifyingly twisty little tales. There is a recurring thread that pops up like a nightmare at interval in some of the stories. The sum total is original and the mindscape is suspect.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2020after hearing the podcast scary stories to read in the dark on spotify tell a couple of these stories in this book I had to get it! and it did not let me down, a lot of these stores made my skin tingle!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2019Awesome! Heard of this author from the Scary stories told in the dark podcast! Bought 1 for me and the rest as gifts for family members!
