    Book 2 in the Vicci Crime Family series. Gabriel is part of a Notorious crime family who gave up his true love for her own safety. This book takes place after he is given an order to kill the first born child of other crime families. Some will be easier than others. Victoria was living her life as well as she could without her true love. When they are thrown back together what will happen? Can they be together now? Will it work? This was a great read not only did we get caught up from the last book we got a great deal of more information. This was a great quick read that was worth the wait. Of course the twist and turns and uncovering of more information has me wanting more. The next book can not come out fast enough! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

    Another terrific Vicci Crime Family romance! The picks up where the first book, From Son to Soldier, left off with Gabriel ordered to do what he does best...end lives. Until he comes up against his true love and the girl he was forced to give up. He's in a predicament. How can he end his forever girl? But first he has to make amends with Victoria after he broke her heart. Can he really disobey orders and save her? The drama is high as this romance plays out amid the backdrop of brutal battles, secrets, and betrayal. Loads of twists and turns in this thrilling mafia romance with delicious characters in Gabriel and Victoria. Worth the read! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

    What full-on ride this book was!!! FROM PAST TO PRESENT is the second book in Author K.L. Myers’ Vicci Crime Family series and is best read after the novella entitled FROM SON TO SOLDIER, Jefferson and Giovanna’s book, which I’ll tell you now that I absolutely loved, AND which set the scene perfectly for Gabriel’s second chance with his first love. Hell’s teeth, I was desperate to find out how he ended up married to someone like Giovanna’s mother!!!

    I also want to add that I was introduced to the important background characters, and to Angelo and Bethany Rizzuto, and Bethany’s son Jefferson, in her earlier LOVE at Last series, and while you don’t need to read them, you’ll be missing out on some pretty awesome books that feature some serious alphas. Not all powerful men are from within the realms of the mafia.

    Ms Myers kept the angst, the cracking pace and the heartbreak on high as we were privy to Gabriel and Victoria’s deep and adoring love, and their initial enforced separation. I was gutted!!!! In the dual POV, Gabriel catches us up on their history till we get to the job that Angelo has given Gabriel to complete. End the life of his former love. Thankfully Angelo is still the romantic mafia character that so many readers of Author K.L. Myers have fallen on love with, “Find me a solution, then. One that saves Victoria’s life and doesn’t make the family look weak.” Gabriel’s best friend is still a man who will listen to the counsel of another close to him. The thing is, the mafia world created by Ms Myers has more twists than your average pretzel!

    This is not just another mafia book. Oh no way. The Vicci Crime family work hard, and take the trash out when it’s required. They also love hard, love loyally and love unconditionally. Our heroes are most definitely all very alpha, but their women are more than capable of holding their own!

    Again, I am addicted to this author’s writing, and I’ll be stalking social media waiting for her next release!!!! For this one though, it’s 5-Star strong! 🖤ೋ

    From Past to Present was an amazing book by KL Myers! I was hooked again from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down! The characters and story just draw you in and keep you interested. A definite must read. 4.5 stars

    Once again author KL Myers has outdone herself! What a great continuation to the Vicci Crime Family series!
    When Gabriel is ordered to end the lives of the first born children to some of their rival crime families, he doesn't think twice about it...that is until he realizes that his one true love, the girl he was forced to give up, is on his hit list! While Gabriel never knew why he was told by the head of the Vicci Crime family that he had to give her up, he did as his was told, and even though it's been many years ago, she still owns his heart! Conflicted, he must decide whether he will obey his orders or seek her forgiveness for leaving her...tho the latter will cost both of them their lives!
    Great read! I do recommend reading book 1 of this series first and if you can the Love at Last series prior to reading this book!

    From Past To Present had me holding my breath and my heart in my throat as you were taken between the then and now. Heartbreak, loyalty, devotion and sacrifices were only part of what your heart will be taken through. Decisions that were made in the past now affecting the present will have you on the edge of your seat. There was angst, anticipation, suspense, regret and a yearning for what should have been. Gabriel and Victoria’s story is one that will make your heart ache and have you wishing on that same star. Two people that had loved each other with their entire hearts will need to grab hold and trust like they had never done before. An ending that has me more enamoured with this series and counting down the days until we meet again.

    Ahh!! Gabriel and Victoria’s story. I adore Gabriel, he’s the ultimate book boyfriend! This story was fast paced and full of drama. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You find, your heart breaking for these two and then you find yourself celebrating their enduring love.

    What happens when you have to give up the woman you love because it was ordered of you to do so? Gabriel is ever the loyal soldier for the Vicci Crime Family…until one day maybe he is not. Years later the order has come to kill the first born of a rival crime family and guess who’s on that list!!

    This book was full of angst, loyalty and love and it was a page turner for me. I can’t wait for more from this series.
