Kristie I. at Readers Favorite has this to say about Monogamy Twist:
Greywood Hall is the setting for Nancy Jardine's romance novel, "Monogamy Twist," and this is the place where secrets and history are discovered and sorted out and love is found. From the very first time they see each other, there is attraction and chemistry between Rhia and Luke. Together they work on rebuilding and fixing up Greywood Hall and researching the history of this mysterious woman who owned this place, while at the same time living together and fulfilling a contract between the two of them. However, it is not that easy as Luke and Rhia find their feelings for each other growing and changing and wanting a real relationship instead of just a mere contract.
This book is well-written in a style that is easy to read and it will immediately draw you in and immerse you into the characters' lives. The writing is very descriptive and filled with imagery so that the reader will feel as if he or she is a part of the characters' lives and has an up-close, personal view of their world. The research that is done and the discussions of the past will transport the reader back in time, allowing the reader to unravel the mysteries along with the characters. Therefore, there are many things going on at once. The attraction between Luke and Rhia is strong and there are several "steamy" scenes throughout the book. Overall, this book is a quick read with lovable characters, a good mystery and a beautiful setting!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2013Nancy Jardine grabs us by the chin and takes us on a ride, a fun, romantic, and robust ride smack in to a sizzling relationship and places of the heart where tensions rise and fall and where love waxes and wanes. The carefully crafted sub-plot, a journey into dark family secrets has plenty of detours which give the reader a very pleasant smattering of English culture and historical facts that reach to other continents and then return us safely home to a thoughtful ending. A bit more psychological introspect in to Luke's past-before Rhia's surprise announcement would not have diminished the overall content and happy ending to this delicious and lusty story.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2011I loved the idea of a powerful man forced to marry a woman because someone manipulated him behind his back. I enjoyed the fact that a supposed amiable and easily led woman turned the tables and made the man face what is important in life. And it's not the pursuit of money and power.
Monogamy Twist has at its core, a wonderful romance that grows from a practical base. The hero treats it like a business deal and the heroine treats it like an adventure and a challenge. What they both don't expect is that their personalities mesh, her sense of humor and his inner torment balance each other out. They both heal, they both find love and they both are stunned that a dead woman could have such a profound impact on their lives. The charm of the story is their journey and they go from perfect strangers in lust to friends and partners in love.
Rhia is the heroine and the owner of Thor, the dog. She's spunky, intrepid and I enjoyed her ability to rise to a challenge and not get bogged down with emotional angst and typical female hissy fits when it comes to jealousy and backstabbing ex-girlfriends. She's pragmatic at best and equally lusty for her neighbor.
The focus of the heroine's adoration and exasperation is Luke. He's a tortured hero who had a loveless childhood and is a bit dysfunctional when it comes to relationships. He dates the kind of women he knows but falls in love with the kind of woman he needs. Not that he admits that right away. He was so mixed-up, he didn't recognize the feeling for what it was.
The story is strong and the romance is a delight. The issues that knock down the rating for this book are varied. There is head hopping, strange word/phrase use, a few five dollar words like, `salubrious', a hero who wails his complaint, emotional bouncing not in keeping with the character's voice or scene, over the top embellishment - case in point, how Luke's father died - and a lot of narrative where it came across not as a character's point of view but the author filling me in on the details. The revelation about Luke's mother made me laugh; the use of Danielle had me rolling my eyes, and after awhile the author forgot all about Thor. I didn't. Amazingly enough, despite all of the above listed, the author created likeable characters in Luke and Rhia which kept me invested to finding out how they would eventually have their happily ever after. And even though there were some odd mixtures of phrases, their dialogue was often funny and entertaining.
Monogamy Twistis a cute story. It's lighthearted, enjoyable and Luke and Rhia made a terrific couple. I'm glad I got a chance to read this book because it was a fun way to pass the time.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2015When Luke Salieri unexpectedly inherits an old English manor house named Greywood Hall from a woman he has never met, he is pleasantly surprised. As a man who rebuilds and repairs buildings for a living, he can’t wait to get his hands on the estate. However, the sudden inheritance comes with some unusual conditions. Luke needs to live in the house for a whole year, together with his wife, before the house will be really his. When he meets Rhia Ashton, a historian, she seems to be the perfect woman for the job. Both of them go into the deal with their own goals in mind, but while Luke considers it all a business deal, Rhia starts to reconsider and it doesn't take long before their feelings take over...
'Monogamy Twist' was quite a quick read since the length places it somewhere between a full-length novel and a novella. From the start I was intrigued by the plotline of the novel, which focuses on business man Luke Salieri who has just inherited a large English country manor with some extraordinary conditions attached to it. While it took me a bit of time to get used to Luke's character, I straight away liked Rhia, the female main character. It's quite an unusual situation the two find themselves in; going from strangers to spouses within a short timespan, but it was an interesting storyline and I was curious to see what would happen and which decisions Rhia and Luke would make.
I love English country estates, so the setting of Greywood Hall was a great one for a reader like me. Just the idea of unexpectedly inheriting a house like that got me excited! I share Rhia's passion for old estates like Greywood Hall and loved seeing how passionate she was about the house and her research. While occassionally the story seemed to be missing something, it has a lovely romance at its core and a good basis for an enjoyable read. Overall, 'Monogamy Twist' was an enjoyable romance read with a good storyline and two fascinating main characters; a read I enjoyed more and more as the story progressed and a nice introduction to a new author!

4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious and intriguing read to curl up with.
With a gutsy heroine, ruthless hero, loyal wolfhound and an old country estate this book had the right ingredients to deliver a very entertaining story - and it didn't disappoint.
Luke Saleri has been left Greywood Hall, an estate in need of renovation. But there are some bizarre conditions that he has to fulfil before he can take ownership. Luke has no idea why he should be the beneficiary, but is determined to uncover his connection to the past owner. But first he needs the co-operation of neighbour Rhia Ashton and sets about it in a deliciously ruthless way. And if the wild Yorkshire landscape didn’t provide enough of a romantic setting, Luke whisks Rhia off to Brisbane and Rome before the mystery is completely unravelled.
An excellent read to curl up with. Enjoyed it very much.
