    This series was an interesting read. I just was not too fond of Henrietta solving the crimes before either the police or the former police officer turned private eye. I enjoy it when there is reality mixed in with fiction on mystery stories.

    Henrietta runs an antique store in her small town, and her friend Ralph is a former cop who runs a detective agency. Somehow Henri is able to come up with all sorts of leads without many explanations as to where they came from. She reads a newspaper article about some house break-ins and can immediately come up with a pattern and find the next house to be burgled, but we never find out what it is or how. She's middle-aged and appropriately prim and proper for an antiques shop owner, but a little too perfect to be real. Finally, there were enough plot and grammatical errors to be annoying. A widower ask Ralph to find HER keys? If you're serious about your mysteries making sense, you might want to bypass this series.
