    And, finally, he writes erotica under the pen name Melinda DuChamp, also with Ann Voss Peterson. Those books are probably too spicy for you, so only the brave and bold should seek them out.

    Although these are not stellar writing, I found them engrossing for the most part -- especially the first two stories. There is a little bit of deus ex machina in the story resolutions, but not enough to outweigh the entertainment of the plot development as the story-line progresses.

    The exception is the third story. Although the initial premise was interesting and held my interest, the multiple-sibling development in the latter half was a bit over the top, and the final chapter simply destroyed the character's credibility.

    The plot line is interesting for these three. The authors use graphically gratuitous sexual scenes to stretch the "action." I enjoyed the novella done with F. Paul Wilson where Repairman Jack( one of the two or three best characters in today's fiction) met and was "paired" with Chandler. These three got interesting as far as plot development, near the end of the third novella. I'm not sure if I will buy the next three novella collection, only if I can get it in paperback. I'm a traditionalist that way.

    Being a huge fan of thriller/horror I found it difficult to find writers that will give me goose bumps (or even gross me out, lol). I luv the gore like in the Saw movie series and these two writers come the closest to that type of horror/gore/thriller that I've read.

    The price for these ebooks are phenomenal, unlike those of the Steven King, Dean Koontz, etc. I do like the writings of the afore mentioned authors but when you can get the same thrill for a fraction of the price, why not.

    I highly recommend these writers, it is also worth mentioning that J.A. Konrath is the name the author uses when writing horror/thriller, I have also read his mystery/suspense penned under his name Jack Kilbourne. That being said I also enjoy reading Peterson, I came to enjoy their writings when I first read " Serial Killers Uncut "

    I do recommend these writers IF you enjoy horror/gore/thrillers as I do.

It was unusual to have female action 'heroes' and that added a nice twist to the usual assassin-type stories. I thoroughly loved all of the Codename Chandler books and cannot wait for more. I highly recommend reading the whole series of these books for some total escapism. Hammett rocks!
