I first read this book a year or two ago, when I got it as a giveaway, but now it's been updated and made available on Amazon, I've read it again. It's an excellent read, crammed with good advice, whether you're a beginner or already established as a blogger or freelance writer. I've made loads of notes and hope to be able to put them into practice. It's also highly readable, very entertaining and down-to-earth, and even had me laughing out loud in places. Definitely good value.

If you get through this book and still don't know how to write a pitch, you weren't paying attention! Sophie is a great teacher (I also took an online boot camp with her) and an incredibly valuable asset to the freelance writing community. It's a steal at this low price and would be worth 20x as much. I am a professional writer and my portfolio includes blogging, so I can tell you that you can make back your investment in this book with one post if you follow Sophie and Lauren's advice.

I am they type of person who loves research and gets bogged down with the details of it all. Sophie and Lauren have made a very clear road map to which details of all the little things you hear about pitching are relevant and what you can just go ahead and forget about. It gives the reader (and hopefully future writer) a concrete place to start and a little confidence boost too.

I've been reading Sophie's blog for quiet awhile and love her pitchfest. This ebook is great as it contains popular mistakes that newbie writers make and how to avoid doing that. The layout is good and the examples given are stellar. The last bit of how to handle rejection is very helpful.

I still can't believe that people really react like that to rejection. I did a detailed skim. I'll be going over some chapters soon. It is a great book on pitching 101. I'm sure it'll help us newbies a lot

I bore very easily when it comes to 'how to' manuals, so I tend to steer clear of them entirely. What got me to read this book (aside from the fact that I was in need of the tutorial)? It was free and I had a lot of time to kill at work. Did I learn some things and some stuff? Absolutely, but I probably wouldn't have gotten past the first chapter if not for the fact that Sophie and Lauren are hilarious. I adore their writing style. They comes across as actual human beings, looking to impart wisdom (as opposed to literary snake oil salesmen). I highly recommend this book. Keep churning out those tips, Sophie and Lauren! I love your ways!
