About the authors
I write MM, MF, and MMF romances. Love is love! Some are paranormal, contemporary, and space opera. While all of my books are romantic and sexy, most lean toward erotic. But three of these books-Foretold, Forecast, and Foresworn are MF Young Adult novels. A complete trilogy that I'm rereleasing after getting my rights back from Harlequin Teen. Dweller on the Threshold is sexy, but not erotic. I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children.
New York Times Bestselling author Jocelynn Drake loves a good story, whether she is reading it or writing one of her own. Over the years, her stories have allowed her to explore space, talk to dragons, dodge bullets with assassins, hang with vampires, and fall in love again and again.
This former Kentucky girl has moved up, down, and across the U.S. with her husband. Recently, they’ve settled near the Rockies.
When she is not hammering away at her keyboard or curled up with a book, she can be found walking her dog Ace, or playing video games. She loves Bruce Wayne, Ezio Auditore, travel, tattoos, explosions, and fast cars.
She is the author of the urban fantasy series: The Dark Days series and the Asylum Tales. She has recently completed a gay romantic suspense series called The Exit Strategy about two assassins falling in love and trying to create a life together, as well as a MM paranormal romance series featuring a family of vampires.
She has co-authored with Rinda Elliot the following series: Unbreakable Bonds, Ward Security, Pineapple Grove, and the Weavers Circle. She has also co-authored with AJ Sherwood the Scales 'N Spells dragon series. She can be found at JocelynnDrake.com.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2019This book was amazing from beginning to end. What a roller coaster! I just love this Ward Security addition. Every book in this series is amazing and this was no exception.
Poor Daniel. Throughout the whole book I kept saying, "Bless his heart"! He made me feel all the butterflies and emotions. But what I loved most is that he didn't wilt like a flower but held his own. And Edward? Wow...….Where Daniel was soft, Edward was rough. And throughout the story, it swapped. Edward was all soft and gooey and Daniel was Mr. Bada**. I just loved it!
The whole story was amazing to read and you were just jealous you couldn't be all over the world with them, watching. These two men were smoking hot together and you were rooting for them from their first encounter in Bermuda! I kept saying to myself towards the end that we were going to see Rowe and the boys come and save the day but Daniel and Edward did that all by themselves. So good!
Thanks for a great book! Every character in this series, as well as Unbreakable Bonds Series, has a special place in my book heart and I hope we get to see them again because I'm not ready to let go......ever.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2022I want to start off by saying this book is not bad at all. It's written well, the characters are engaging, and its definitely full of action and romance. I would recommend this for those who enjoy spy novels for sure.
I however am not much into Spy novels and this is certain up that alley. It does continue the series well and I look forward to the next.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2020After finishing Rialto, I wasn't ready to give up being a (secret) part of Unbreakable Bonds family. I was really hoping for a book on Max's road to recovery, Rowe and Noah's support during his rehab and how living life with the Masters of Mayhem was going. Then I found the Ward Security books! Absolutely love them! Killer Bond was laugh out loud hilarious but also so suspenseful. The interactions of Daniel and Edward were so intense, funny, frustrating but ultimately oh so perfect. I'm with some of the other readers in that I felt their storyline should have been extended to include more Ward Security follow through as the guys weren't really happy Edward showed up. Did he eventually join W.S.? Did he have to spar with them first? Did Daniel and Edward pair up with Royce and Marc? That would surely put Angelo in heaven! Whatever comes next, I am sitting on nails waiting for it!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2019I really can’t remember Daniel from the previous books but he was an excellent character for this one. Mistaken identity has Edward hitting on him, on the beach in Bermuda, and their chemistry is incendiary. When Daniel discovers the real reason for Edward’s come-on, then the UST takes over. It’s a whirlwind adventure, spiced with plenty of action, bullets and car chases. Ward security has no part in this book, aside from phone conversations. There’s a cameo appearance from a side character in book 3, whom I’m sure will turn up again. This is the kind of lusty, over the top escapades this author duo writes so well. The culmination of the action plot and the ending felt a little bit shaky but had little impact on my enjoyment of the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020Secret agents, stolen documents, mistaken identities and a romance all rolled into one.
Lots of action and some hot "after near death" sexy times.
It wasn't the vacation Daniel expected when he left his job as an accountan at Ward Security, but since he both found love and finally a sense of belonging at work it was all worth it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2019I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others. The Unbreakable Bonds series is fantastic! I think after reading Fractured this book in Ward Security was a little bit of a let down. Maybe because my personal preference is to still hear about past characters. Don't get me wrong there were definitely a lot of things to like. I would definitely suggest the book and can't wait to see what comes next!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2020This book has most definitely been my favourite of the series! From the first page it was exciting, fun, sexy, suspenseful, and action-packed! I couldn't put this down. I hope there will be more books set in this world. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to readers who enjoy m/m romantic suspense. This works totally fine as a standalone, but be warned you'll immediately want to go back to the start of the series because it is that good!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2019Wow, I think this is the best story in the Ward security series I've read up till now. It's fun, packed with action, and spies all over the place. I loved the characters (especially Daniel, Wards accountant), the great storyline and the MC's touring through Europe. If you like the Ward security series, this really is a must read, but even stand alone it's a great story. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killer Bond
Hang onto you hats! This is one hell of a ride! The interaction between Daniel and Edward is explosive, much like the shenanigans that are happening around them. Together they are magnetic and sexy hot! Drake and Elliot have once again given us a very exciting read that you won’t be able to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killer Bond
Another brilliant book in the Ward Security series. Loved everything about it from start to finish. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and that made the story even more enjoyable. This book had everything you could possibly want and I would definitely recommend reading along with the other books in the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Solide
geschrieben Story mit guten Typen. Aber teilweise etwas unglaubwürdig . Besonders das Ende wo der Verräter sich so einfach übertölpen lässt . Streckenweise fand ich es auch etwas langweilig .

4.0 out of 5 stars Folk wisdom has it that everyone has a doppelgänger....
Secret Agent Man
There’s a man who leads a life of danger
His real name unknown.
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger
Do I even know him?
With every move he makes, another chance he takes
Will he take a chance with me?
Secret Agent Man, Secret Agent Man.
Will you tell me your name,
Secret Agent Man....
Daniel, accountant at Ward Security, is on holiday. Adventure is not on his list of To Do Things, maybe read a book? definitely soak up the sun.
But adventure he definitely got!
Firstly...he met ‘Edward’.
Secondly...he met the Pirates of the Caribbean
Thirdly...he finds out that he’s not quite the original he thought he was
Fourthly...he’s accused of being a traitor to his country
Fifthly...it turns out that ‘Edward’ is not the Telecommunications Executive that Daniel believed him to be
Sixthly...who knew he would enjoy flying/driving all over Europe with danger on his heels every second of the way.
Seventhly...whoever thought being an Accountant was boring.......knows nothing!!!
It was fast and furious. But in being so, the fast pace lost a certain amount of believability for me.
Far too far away from Ward Security and my boys for this to be a 5* winner, so I’m settling for 4*.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't sure
Wasn't sure how much I'd actually enjoy this book as I didn't really feel any connection to Daniel in the previous books. But since there was very minimal mention of Ward Security and the guys there, it was almost like reading a stand-alone book not one part of a series. And in the end I quite enjoyed both Daniel and Edward as MC's.
