Love's True Home: A Christian Western Romance (Looking Glass Lake Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
Hard-driving real-estate developer Lauren Rolphe returns to her hometown of Looking Glass Lake, ready to revitalize the area and receive a hero’s welcome for her troubles.
Practical-joker Matthew Paycoach is the town’s most loyal and influential citizen…and Looking Glass Lake's most charming cowboy. But even his easy-going smile can’t cover the pain Lauren caused when she dumped him and left town without a goodbye nine years ago.
As they war over the town’s future, Looking Glass Lake’s most notorious matchmakers jump into the fray. Matt quickly loses the battle to protect his heart, and Lauren is overwhelmed by sweet memories and longings she has tried so desperately to forget.
But when a secret surfaces and the past comes back to haunt them, Matt and Lauren must learn how to let go and trust God…or lose love’s true home forever.

About the author

Rebecca Nightsong grew up under the wide-open skies of Idaho, where she spent long days in fluffy petticoats and lace, chasing geese and riding goats (since sadly, she had no horses).
As a bossy sister in a large family of all boys, she may or may not be guilty of making her 3 year old brother lie down on a hard strip of lumber in the middle of the pasture to take a pretend nap when playing “pioneer families.”
Today, Rebecca lives with her husband, who is a constant source of inspiration. She spends her time in her quirky fictional world of Looking Glass Lake, bossing around characters who frequently boss back.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2019This book outshines the prequel which I did not think was possible when I first downloaded. I thought what the heck I loved the prequel so much I would give it a shot.
Boy was I really glad I got this book. Such a range of emotions. Have a large supply of tissues handy. I loved every word. Just the right amount of sass no matter from whom it came from. So be forewarned. I bumped the prequel to second place of the best book that I had read in years Love's True Home has taken its place. Such an apt title too.
A complete delight from the word go. So ahead and download this book and find what this town and it's resort really means.. and if you don't like/love it I will eat the symbolic hat.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020This is my second book to read by Rebecca Nightsong. Both were extremely well written. Excitement and adventure in true western style. Yet very inspirational and moving. Showing hardships and how we get messed up in life's troubles along the way. Then learning to depend on God's love and grace to bring you through. It was very refreshing.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2016Enjoyable book with well-developed characters. Some parts were humorous while others were very sad, A clean romance - kissing but no detailed sexual scenes with a Christian theme as the main characters remember that they need to put their trust in God. I'm looking forward to reading more about the people in the community of Looking Glass Lake.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2022I'd read "Love On The Range" & was impressed enough to read another book written by Rebecca Nightsong. I'm always eager to delve into a story written by an author fully committed to Jesus Christ. This novel had tremendous potential. I was more than somewhat disappointed it didn't live up to her first book. The heroine, Lauren, had zero likability. No vulnerability, no self-awareness, no humility, nothing whatsoever to humanize her. The hero, Matt, internally claimed to have some sort of inexplicable draw to this woman, but the reader never knows why. Without giving up any plot information, a possible reason is disclosed later in the book, but the issue isn't fleshed out nearly enough to redeem Lauren's miserly character. Suffering is a refiner's fire. The book of Hebrews explains that Jesus learned obedience through suffering (Hebrews 5.8). The only lesson Lauren learned from suffering is bitterness & her supposed redemption wasn't remotely believable. I had no motivation to pledge loyalty to these characters. The intentions of the story were there, but poorly executed.
