About the Author
That's when I first thought about giving this erotica stuff a try.
But what to write about? I'm not a hearts and flowers or heaving bosoms type of romance writer, nor do I have experience in the darling of the erotica world - BDSM. I don't write about witches, werewolves or faraway worlds. I needed something new and exciting - to me, and to others.
I've always been taught to 'write what you know'. I"m happily married. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our neighbours over beer and several bottles of wine on Friday nights. Of course, we have a purely platonic relationship with them, but it got me to thinking...what if...?
What if neighbours became a little friendlier than usual?
So I came up with a series about swinging - Husbands and Wives series! And a pen name as to not confuse the readers of my other books, and not to alarm my great-aunt who will read everything I write!Check out my Husbands and Wives series to see what your neighbours may really be like!

About the author

Anna Ellis is one of those friendly Canadians who apologizes too much and is always polite. But she also likes her martinis very dirty, her superheroes very sexy, and has a thing for that Scotsman from Outlander.
And she's got some interesting ideas about what her neighbors might be getting up to.
So she wrote a book about them. And then a few more.
Books about happily married couples having sex with other happily married couples. Books about neighbours being naughty, office place fun and games and being in love with two women.
There's no werewolves or vampires, shapeshifters, or tentacles involved--just good, old-fashioned sex. And maybe a little tying up. Or a spanking or two.
And swingers. She likes swingers!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2019Our couple moves into a new neighborhood and is welcomed with open arms and, it seems, open beds.
This is the first book in a new (to me) series about an entire neighborhood of swingers. We discover this situation along with our couple and watch as they navigate this unexpected thing, trying to figure out if they want to participate. The story is very well written, with well developed and realistic characters. Their reactions and thought processes are understandable and I found myself flipping pages to see what they would decide (although if they decided to abstain it wouldn't be much of a series, now would it?)
As a set up for the series, we were not treated to as much steamy action as one might expect, but I was okay with this. Rather than force the action, we get a realistic build and it just makes me want to roll straight into the next book.
Highly recommended.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2024Fun quick read for anyone looking for something erotic and sexy with a small punch. First time reading this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2014The book pull you along, but at times had too much detail without connected touches . You tried to develop the main character factually and without a framework.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2014This is a story well worth your time reading. The situation the author creates is real and the character development is strong and very well done. Each step in the progression of the situation is taken slowly and with the kinds of internal and marital conflicts that people really have. These are real people confronting a real set of conflicts and resolving them, at least in the short run. I will begin the next book immediately because I want to see where MS Ellis takes her characters next. This is a good story, well told.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2014This is really a trilogy, and you need to read all three books.
In the first book the author introduces the couples and sets the stage for the remaining books. The remaining books get pretty steamy as Jacey does everything with everybody.
The books are written from Jacey's perspective in the present tense. She is witty and her perspective is often humorous.
My only complaint is that the books are quite short. Still they are a fun read.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2013Anna is an upcoming erotic romance author. She writes realistically of Jayce's struggles and pleasures. She has done a wonderful job of character development, and continues it in the second book. Too bad this wasn't combined with the sequel, would have made a better continuous read. Her skills are excellent. I hope to see more in the future. Stay in the genre Anna, you've got it nailed.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2013Lots of pages but at best the set up the next book as it's a TBD. The limited sex parts are mundane stuff.
The character development is okay, but beyond that it's a bore.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2023I thought this book could of been better with maybe a little more erotica. I did like the conversations between the as to whether they should participate in the neighbors swinging party, It was a bit of a yawner and not the kind of book I "couldn't put down ". I won't be reading book 2

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good indeed
I liked this very much. The story narrates from the wife Jacey and is about her and husband arrival at their new house in the suburbs and how they are incorporated into the new community by neighbourly wife swappers.
The character build is great and you feel good empathy with them, you like them and it's very important that you care.
The build up to the party is terrific and the writer has refused to go wham bam, wham bam, to the enevitable orgy and I've given it five stars because of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just a bit of fun
Great holiday read. Get you thinking, what would it be like to arrive in such a neighborhood and how would we 'handle' it.
