Making the Case for EFT and Energy Psychology’
Is a very thorough, practical and comprehensive book that literally takes you though every step you need to design, conduct, publish and disseminate case studies related to EFT and Energy Therapy. One of the amazing things about the kindle version of this book is that it has numerous valuable links to every topic covered in the book. The links and tables alone are worth much more than the price of the book probably saving the reader dozens if not hundreds of hours of work. It is a labor of love by Dr. Liz Boath that serves as a blueprint and guide to presenting effective case studies from a practice-based evidenced and scientific approach. It is easy to read, however, and filled with Liz’s sense of humor and compassion for the reader and writer.

I was especially surprised and very pleased by her comprehensive presentation of the use of assessment and outcome measures in chapter 4. Needless to say I was delighted with Table 4.2 and the following section ‘Accentuate the Positive: the Friedman Scales ‘ which shows how to use positive and healthy tools to track change and refers to some of my websites and articles on the subject.

Liz also discusses reviewing the literature with various internet search tools; how to ethically design a case and get informed consent from the client; what to include in a case study; how to present references; what journals to consider for publication; who can help you in addition to her excellent book; how to present at conferences; how to disseminate your publication and what are some of the major pitfalls and obstacles to avoid. Her book is a carefully developed road map that fills a major void in the field and will benefit not only EFT and energy therapists but anyone wanting to conduct and publish any kind of therapy case study. It is highly recommended.

In addition the book has been
translated into Dutch by Ellen Langen under the name ‘Bijdragen aan BewijsOpbouw voor EFT en EnergiePsychologie: Case Study’s Ontwerpen, Uitvoeren en Publiceren.’

I highly recommend this book to any EFT practitioner who wants to actively contribute to building an evidence base for EFT. It explains the use and practice of a case study in sufficient detail to help you produce an interesting case study worthy of publication.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super helpful 'how to' manual for developing case studies!

This is a very clear, well written book that is a super helpful 'how to' manual for developing case studies. I'm an Eden Energy Medicine practitioner and, following lots of clients having improvements in their health due to Eden Energy Medicine sessions and self-care, I now want to undertake robust case studies with a view to getting them published in peer reviewed journals. Elizabeth Boath's book lays out the steps for developing robust case studies clearly. I got the Kindle App for my MacBook and find it so helpful to click on the links to useful resources on the internet that Elizabeth has provided throughout the book. I highly recommend this book!
