- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2019I only downloaded the sample and just by reading the first two stories I bought the book! I am currently on the fourth story and I know that this is going to be a really good one! I knew that I made a great decision after I read the first story about the painting of a clown. I thought I knew where the story was going but, I was wrong and I loved it. I love how stories end with really good, totally unexpected twists. I'm going to keep reading the rest of the book and will be updating this review, it gets five stars for now!
Updated review! August 16, 2019
I absolutely loved every single one of these stories! Only one story tell flat but, the others were so interesting that it doesn't matter. I would love to see more about Collin and what happens to him, my favorite story out of them all! Awesome and unique premise! I also loved the unique story concept! I can't say enough good things about this collection of stories except that I didn't want it to end, it was that good to me! There were hardly any real noticeable grammatical or spelling errors, maybe three or four and still nothing to call the Grammar Police over! I definitely think that I found my new favorite author!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2019This is the only book listed for the author, and that makes no sense. This must be a pen name for some other brilliant author. No one writes a first book this good. Could this be Lee Child or George R.R. Martin trying something new? These stories are all different, and all good, there were no clunkers, and well edited. I finished these stories and need more. I feel like one of the characters in one of his stories. Buy this book. Now. Really, who is this guy?
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2020Each of the 28 stories is distinctive and unusual from the titular cosmic Through the Mole Hole to the urban legend trope of Knock Knock. Whether monthly monsters, not-so-friendly clowns, or technology gone awry, there's something here for every fan of the dreadful to delight in.
There's a childlike nightmarish quality to a lot of the scares which makes them that much more potent. Lost and Found in which two kids exploring an abandoned mall find a secret arcade complete with animatronics à la Chucky Cheese definitely channels the lost nostalgia of being an 80s child. In the Chair, parental punishment takes on a fresh fright. Boastful teen hijinks turns into terror as a school mascot roams the halls. Some almost have a light-hearted quality—if horror can be described as such. Here Comes Santa Claus and Beware of Clown are both examples of inventive horror that doesn't take itself quite so seriously.
A lot of the stories choose their scares without blood and gore—oh but the ones that do! Pissing Well is one of such stories with its squelching and popping as is The Stick and its cringeworthy-ness. Through the Mole Hole had such imagery that apparently I was making a face while reading, one of the highest unconscious compliments I can give. While the gore is actually on the lighter side comparatively speaking, it's the author's ability to choose unsettling adjectives that insinuate themselves in your brain that brings the true fun to these stories.
Tripophobics beware: Through the Mole Hole will get under your skin!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseNot very scary at all. Most of the stories in this book are pretty bland. None really keep you up at night. Just like the first one, the scariest thing about it is the cover.
I'm going to stop punishing myself and stop reading the series now. There are better books out there to spend my time reading
- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis anthology had a great mix of stories. They kept me intrigued and interested throughout the entire book. I will continue to read more from this series!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThere was not one single story that I didn't like. Once I began reading it was almost impossible to put down. When I wasn't reading it I was constantly thinking about this book. K. G. Lewis did an outstanding job and I am now ready for MORE!!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2019If you like strange and unusual, this is the book for you. The author spins unique stories based on interesting topics that leave you thinking about them later. This is well written and definitely held my interest for the entirety of the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars So fun and bizarre and interesting, but...
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt was quite unique and fun, quite strange and exciting, quite interesting and spooky... Only the FNAF bit was unoriginal, I think...
But it was so poorly written... Weak endings, top tier typos, "I know" and "I thought" all the time, too much telling...
It was quite a slog because of it. I did want to experience it fully, but it exhausted me so much.
I'm glad I finished it. I would be haunted by this book if I didn't finish it. Come to think it, it might be a bit cursed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quirky, funny and scary. What more could you want?
This is a great collection of short, scary stories. There is obvious maturity, empathy and humour from the author. Many of the stories POVs are children and teenagers and bring back the wonder of that time in our lives when mystery, intrigue and fights were ever present.
I particularly enjoyed the title story, a really fascinating worm-hole, horror/sci-fi/wierd fiction tale and of course the clown story. No spoilers, but a clown funeral anyone? Yikes!!
Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Creative collection. Clever ideas.
The first thing to mention straight off is that there are some incredibly creative ideas within this extensive collection of short horror stories. I was impressed with the variety and imagination of the tales I read. The Mole Hole was the stand out story for me. It's about a very strange place for a worm hole to appear. Following close at it's heels is Cleo. An unusual take on faeries. Other stories I enjoyed were Digital Soul, Here Comes Santa Claus, Welcome to Harrison High and Cheaters Never Prosper. While nearly every story has an excellent idea, many of them have endings that are a bit abrupt for my taste and they took away from the set up of the stories.
If you're looking for a collection of unique and creative horror stories than I recommend getting Through the Mole Hole.

4.0 out of 5 stars not too bad
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAn eclectic mix of stories. Some really good. Some ok ish and some not my cup of tea at all.
I suppose that’s the fun of reading short stories; discovering the little gems.
