Natalie's Getting Married Kindle Edition
Career minded, Natalie Spencer, had never been in love. She could never understand what all the fuss was about. But when she met Jackson Humphries during Fresher’s Week at university, that all changed.
Utterly infatuated, Natalie quickly discovers the meaning of love and, before she knows it, she's heading up the aisle – for the first time, that is.
This feel-good romantic fiction is all about four wedding dresses, a runaway groom and a girl who got so carried away, she couldn’t see true love staring her right in the face.
This is the perfect uplifting romance for the wedding season, jam packed with British humour which might have you reaching for the tissue box, too.
“Grab a blanket and your comfiest chair, you won't be able to put this book down. Natalie is so easy to relate to, you just get her and she is such a pleasure to read about. Her strengths and insecurities brought her to life for me page after page. Gabriel captured my attention straight away and every time he was in a scene, I was completely mesmerized. The character chemistry and unexpected story line twists were phenomenal, I loved this book!” Wil Scott (Beta Reader)
“Rosa Temple is one of the best authors to come along in quite a while. Natalie's Getting Married is a great, feel good, romantic book that will keep you turning pages until the very end.
Natalie is such a great character and readers will simply fall in love with her!” Amanda (Beta Reader)

- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2016Well this was a surprising little gem of a book; I simply couldn't put it down. I fancied a bit of chicklit for a change but didn't expect to be so engrossed in the story that I read late into the night. This only usually happens to me with a thriller. So what was different about this book? It just had that little bit of magic sprinkled throughout, and with Natalie being so desperate to be part of a couple she can't see true love hiding in plain sight like a pantomime villain - it's behind you!
I think we can all recognise something of Natalie in ourselves. I'm sure we've all longingly mooned over a dreamy boy at school or, in Natalie's case, university. For Natalie, her dream, and in a way ours, comes true! Dreamy boy, aka Jackson, finally notices Natalie, falls in love with her and proposes faster than the speed of light. Dream come true! Then real life descends in the form of a future mother-in-law from hell. Will Mummy Dearest convince Jackson to call off the wedding or does he truly love Natalie?
After Jackson comes Liam. He's perfect and dependable but he just didn't set my, or Natalie's, heart on fire. It's one of those occasions where he feels more strongly about her than she does about him - eek, time for a sharp exit. At a New Year's Eve party Liam catches Natalie unawares, and slightly inebriated, and proposes. Natalie accepts but you just know her heart is not fully committed. I was crying 'call it off' right until she walks down the aisle.
So after wedding number 2, Natalie leaves London for LA hoping to put her past mistakes behind her. She can run but she can't hide from love! Of course, the ending was predictable but I was just ready for a happy ending and this book succeeded in leaving a massive smile on my face.
With misunderstandings, relationship mistakes and wedding dress shopping reminiscent of Narnia, this book will delight and enchant. It has the perfect mix of laughter and tears, making it a book I will read again in the future when I need a little pick-me-up.
I received this e-book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2016Natalie's Getting Married is the first full-length novel by Rosa Temple. Rosa previously published a short romantic novella Sleeping With Your Best Friend. I was very intrigued when I received this book from the author. The plot sounded like something I would enjoy reading so last weekend I decided to dive into Natalie's story.
I must admit I haven't bonded with Natalie as I would have thought. Natalie is an energetic, romantic and fun character but for me, she seemed to lack a certain charm of the main protagonist. Natalie's story starts in a Freshers Week at University where she is instantly smitten with a fellow student Jackson. Jackson doesn't even acknowledges her presence at the beginning of the book, but other male character struck up a lifelong friendship with Natalie, Gabriel Miller. Natalie loves the friendships with Gabriel but when Jackson suddenly turns his attention on her Natalie is over the moon with happiness, and is eagerly planning her future with Jackson. If only she knew what is about to happen and how this event sets her on the path to discovering the real meaning of love (right under your nose)!
Gabriel is there through thick &thin from the start to the finish line. And in my mind, he is the real star of this book. I adored Gabriel calm, collect and down-to-earth personality. The scenes featuring Gabriel and Natalie were the highlight of this story. Gabriel and Natalie are on the same wavelength they have lots in common, and that bond is beautifully described through their dialogs and shines out of the pages of this book.
Alongside Gabriel, I got really fond of Bella and Alissa. Bella is Natalie's other best friend. She is a party girl who loves man (plenty) and drink (by buckets). Bella makes smart remarks and helps Natalie through some important decisions.
When Natalie sets up her own business The Picture House, she hires Alissa. Alisa quickly becomes Natalie's right-hand woman. Alissa, she is a very smart and witty and has an all round great presence in this story.
As the title suggest, there are a few weddings that we are invited to attend. Although the first two do not go according to plan, I really enjoyed the other two festivities in the second half of the book. It was great to see Natalie grow and get stronger as a character throughout the book, and I was very happy with the decision she made at the end!
I also must touch on the setting of this book. I love books set in London! London has its unique charm and vibrancy, and I think Rosa brought the setting to live by describing each protagonist home and its surroundings in a realistic way.
Natalie's Getting Married is a romantic story of discovering the meaning and the complications of The One and only. I enjoyed it, and I am curious what is Rosa planning on writing next.
Thank you so much to Rosa Temple for sending a copy of her book in exchange for a honest review!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read
Thought it was going to be a mushy beach book quick and easy to read whilst sunbathing. Well I loved this book from start to finish. It was written well and kept me wanting more and definitely wanted to see to the end. A feel good book with really good characters. Good on ya Rosa Temple just what I needed to skip into the day

4.0 out of 5 stars A recommended read
This is not the genre I usually read, but I actually really enjoyed it. It was written as if Natalie was talking the whole time. It was a light and enjoyable read and on that basis, it was a great book. I'd have liked a bit more description of the final wedding as it seemed a bit rushed at the end, but maybe that was just me not wanting it to ever finish! Very funny in places, too. I would definitely read more from this author.

Read Rosa's novella "Sleeping with you best friend" and loved her style of writing. This book is no exception. Well thought out characters and storyline. Rosa also has a talent for writing comedy. A lovely blend of romance and comedy - loved it!
