Welcome to New Port where shifters, witches, and vampires live openly next to humans working jobs, ordering take-out from the blood bank, and looking for love in all the wrong places.

Magic is real. Shifters exist.

Trixie Russell knows this. Everyone does. But no one told her about the monster lurking in the basement of the dragon’s castle. Not until it was too late.

Victor Petrov is ancient, and vampires his age should not lose control of their hunger. And yet that’s exactly the problem which landed him chained in a dragon’s dungeon. Then in walks a human female with cotton candy hair who smells like sunshine, her pulse a sweet melody in his parched ears, and the fragile thread of his control snaps. Again.

Like it or not, Trixie is now tied to Viktor's, and he seems short a few marbles. She plans on making his eternity a misery until he reveals they have an enemy in common. Trixie is totally on board with helping him escape so she could get her revenge. After that, she’s done. They’re over. She wouldn’t be his vampire.

Not His Vampire is the hilarious third book in the paranormal romcom Not This Series. If you like steamy attractions, fast-paced action, and snarky humor, then you’ll love Annie Nicholas’s hotter than hot romp.

I greatly enjoyed Viktor and Trixie’s tale.
Viktor is a vampire born centuries ago in a time that was vastly different from the present day world he and Trixie live in. Although he’s made mistakes that resulted in terrible consequences Viktor is neither a bad man or vampire. He’s actually an individual haunted by his past and in a way trapped by his own self loathing.
An unfortunate accident brings Trixie into his life and it’s the best thing to happen to him. The beautiful, sassy, pink haired spitfire of a woman with a heart of gold has Viktor feeling things he hasn’t felt in a very long time. Her love might just be the thing to rescue him, help him to heal and leave behind the past.
Their story had me laughing out loud and it warmed my heart.
I love all the characters form this series so far.
I can’t wait to dive into Nick and Ruby’s story next.

Okay so this read was better. Our resident Master Vampire Viktor had to make a choice and offer something to Trixie he's never offered or done before. His first encounter with Trixie in Eoin's dungeon brought strange feelings to light. When Trixie was frightened by a gargoyle and fell down stairs in the castle she broke her neck. Viktor had a life or death offer and he chose life (but he did ask Trixie first). This story was cute and played out well. A little surprise however was the Riverbend Pack Alpha seems to have an interest in the one who had caused issues with black magic Jade Ellington who was a tattoo artist at a local parlor. I can't wait to see if there is a book for them or if there is even a them.
Now my question is why are they titled Not His or Not Hers when in actuality the characters are in fact his and hers LOL

I love everything about this series. The snappy sarcastic humor, the powerful alpha males, and the delicate spitfire women that bring them to their knees. Viktor has never had an easy time being a vampire. So, when he sires a fledgling for the first time in eight centuries it's not surprising that everything that came before is going to look like a piece of cake. A start, a stupid missed step and trixie's suddenly facing life as a supernatural. Good thing most of her best friends aren't human. I loved watching Trixie find her way in this world she never expected to be a part of. And seeing Viktor so invested in something that might give him hope was pretty awesome. Do we perhaps have the set-up for two future books here? I hope so.

Things that you think cannot exist do and Trixie Russell has just found out that vampires do exist. Soon after she is in an accident about to die when Victor Petrov, an ancient vampire, changes her. Victor has problems and now Trixie is added to the mix. This starts a fun romp as Victor tries to provide the guidance that Trixie needs to adjust to her new status. I loved how Victor is trying very hard to be a good sire to Trixie and how Trixie seems to bring the best out in Victor. Then those nasty werewolves interfere. That leads to tension and danger for both Victor and Trixie. A fun romp in this interesting world where the Not This series takes place.

I love this series so far; the humor, the quirky characters. But this particular book was hard to get through, due to the number of grammatical errors, missing words, incomplete sentences, and wrong word usage. If that makes it difficult for you to enjoy a book, you may wish to stay clear of this one. :( I hope the rest of the series has better editing!

I found the description of this volume to be somewhat misleading, making it sound like Viktor loses control of himself and in a bloodlust attacks Trixie and accidentally makes her a vampire. In truth, he is trying to save her life (in a fashion) when she is mortally wounded.

Although he is a creature of extremely old age, and she is just a young woman, the pair share an immediate attraction and develop a very strong bond. The evolution of their relationship is fun to watch. And the fact that Viktor still has things that he can learn from Trixie is delightful.

Of course, there was much angst and drama to had and worked through, some personal demons to be dealt with and such. But this pair come out of everything stronger than they were, and they do in fact devise some unique ways of attacking their problems.

It was enjoyable to return to New Port and revisit some of the characters we've met in prior books. This tale was interesting in that it was a bit different from prior ones, being about paranormal creatures, but ones who are not shifters as most of the others in this world.

I liked this unusual take on vampires where they would often satisfy their hunger for blood from willing donors, sometimes even via bagged products.

It kind of ticks me off what a bum wrap Nick gets in the story. Okay, so, yes, technically he IS responsible for Trixie's death, but it was totally an accident. He certainly didn't mean to scare her and have her fall down the stairs. And, granted, he shouldn't have been in Eoin & Angie's castle to begin with, but Trixie really shouldn't have been there either.

I loved this book! Viktor had my interest since meeting him in Not his dragon. Now I got to see more of him and I loved him even more.

I loved Trixie her spunk, her personality shone. She was funny and fun to read about.

Viktor had my heart strings pulling lol. But I did enjoy his bad a**sery and his bond to Trixie.

I am curious as to what will happened with the dhampir and maybe the Riverbend alpha? Can't wait for what comes next. I love the humor and excitement of this series!

Viktor is an old vampire with control problems. He keeps forgetting to feed at the right time and ends up going into blood list and killing his food. Trixie is an animal control officer who has an accident on the way to talking to Viktor ( who happens to be imprisoned in the dungeon of the dragon Eoin). The only way to save her life is to turn her into a vampire.
This is another cute book in this series. I must say that it was good enough to ignore the few grammatical errors. I'm !looking forward to the next book which is why I gave it 5 stars. If you like comedy mixed in with a bit of drama and romance then this is for you.

I'll say this for this author, at least you don't expect too much from her heroines. They start out kinda bimbo-esque so they don't disappoint you when they do 1 dumb thing after the next - you're expecting it. I do find her heroes a tad disappointing however. I bought this book because I thought the H might be a fun character from what I'd seen of him in the first book, but no.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great story but imperfect execution.

This is a standalone paranormal romance novel with a HEA that forms part of a series with overlapping characters. The story is as good as the previous two in the series however it is marred but poor editing. By poor editing I mean the odd missing word, he/she confusion and sentences where the subject matter was unclear. It meant that some sentences had to be re read to work out who was speaking or doing what. This seems to happen more in the first half of the book or maybe I eventually got so engrossed that I didn't notice the errors.
