Praise for The Parables of Business:
“Regardless of your industry, your status, your knowledge or know-how…this eBook WILL teach you something. It WILL inspire you and make you re-think of how you’re doing things, whether online or off.” Ingrid Abboud, Owner, nittyGriddy Marcom
“Danny offers lessons about knowing your audience, creating your unique selling proposition, building your brand, determining your potential, and more. But they’re all told in stories that are easy to relate to and fun to read. This book is for you if you’re an entrepreneur, an intrapreneur, or thinking about starting your own business.” Gini Dietrich, CEO, Arment Dietrich.
“So many books focus on technologies that change by the minute. Which then makes those books obsolete a month later. The Parables of Business is the kind of book that your kids can read 20 years from now, and the lessons will still apply.” Dino Dogan, Founder, Triberr.
“Long before social media and the world wide web for that matter, the best companies and most recognizable brands in the world were established by men and women just like you. What were their secrets? What made them so successful? How were they able to make their company/brand a household name all over the world for the better part of the last 100 years? This little book has many of the answers; however, they may surprise you…” Mark Harai, VP of Business Development, DIME Labs.
“Instead of taking a more traditional approach to business writing, Danny tells short, powerful, and timeless stories to deliver critical lessons that can help all of us become stronger professionals and more understanding human beings.” Marianne Worley, The Marketing Workshop.
“If you are feeling stuck, need a good kick in the pants, or just want to think about the big picture, The Parables of Business is a truly great read, and the kind of ebook that you could find yourself reading more than once.” Adam Toporek, Founder, IntenseFence Management Solutions.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2014The word parable comes from the Greek parabolē. It’s a comparison or analogy using a story that most can relate to.
Sometimes I like to read to be inspired. Today, I found a book to do just that.
Danny Brown has written a book of parables for the current age of social media and ever changing business. The Parables of Business: How Old Wisdom Can Help You Create New Mindsets, is a fine read.
I picked it today for 99 cents and enjoyed myself. The stories are well written and don’t always lead to the point expected, but when one gets to the end, it’s satisfying.
Mr. Brown has done a masterful job of making his points in ways that will surely stick with me.Dannys Book
In the first chapter we read about three businessmen, MyWay, YourWay and BestWay. I won’t retell the story, but the moral in the end is perfect.
The world of social media is ever changing and trying to sort it all out can be a challenge. Sometimes it is a good idea to step back and read the perspective of someone who has been a leading blogger for longer than most people have known what the term meant.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the “Need” to do social media to survive, this book may be the perfect tome to ease your fears and get the fire lit to make you want to jump in with both feet.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2013This book is a collection of stories, each of which illustrate a very powerful truth that will make a difference in your business and team (once you apply it).
One of my favorites is the first chapter. It is the story of Mr MyWay, Mr YourWay and Mr BestWay. An ingenious story that illustrates a very interesting and valid concept.
In fact you may even decide that every story is your favorite, they are all so good.
I do highly recommend you take the time to get this book and read it. It is an easy, even entertaining read yet will make you think (and hopefully make some changes).
- Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2013Well done Danny - an excellent, quick and truly instructive read. I especially like your story about Balderdash and Hogwash.
Just as the one eyed man can be king in the land of the blind, you're right - these chancers (and there are still plenty of them around) need to be thwarted by vigilance and the good'uns sharing common sense.

Love this! There's no nonsense and plain old common sense (which isn't all that common any more). Add it to your wishlist :)

5.0 out of 5 stars trust is earned
A reality check for those who fancy themselves influencers. As a parent has influence over their children, so do leaders over their charges. Never forget your responsibility is to them, not yourself.
