- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2016This book was a lot of fun to read! While some of it was a bit over the top, I truly found myself enjoying it anyway. Who knew being a wedding planner can be so chaotic? Tehee. Overall, I found this novel to be very charming and cute. I really enjoyed the characters, I found myself laughing a whole lot, and I enjoyed the dramatics of it all. This is definitely one of those books you need to read if your looking for some light fun.
So this book is about Amy (mortician turned wedding planner). She is the most successful wedding planner in London, and everyone is scrambling to have her plan their perfect wedding. But things start to go awry when she ends up saying yes to planning a wedding for Georgina- the woman who happens to be marrying Amy's ex- the one who jilted her at the alter [cue nervous laughter].
This book is an all around good time! Fans of chick lit and romantic comedies will want to pick up this book- especially if you like a good laugh! I really enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more books by the author in the future!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2016...when awesome people are fictional? Maybe you don't (read the book to understand the review header
😅). I loved Chardonnay (the bride, not the wine).
I'm pretty sure I've read all Ms Renham's and this is my absolute favorite! Even if you disapprove of her actions, you can't help sympathizing with Amy. The reason for the jilting was a bit lame but, other than that, it was,a really great book!!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2016This was a cute story but it dragged on way too long and I skimmed A LOT. While I was totally willing to suspend my disbelief at some of the plot lines (the sheikh’s role and actions in particular) it became harder once the heroine’s initial meltdown went on and on and became annoying; and as it became clear that that hero didn’t really have much of a personality. In fact, he wandered through this story as an attractive enigmatic guy whom we never really get to know; this made it very hard to care about him.
There was a lot of introspection in this book along the lines of "if I do this then that will happen but what if I do that, then this will happen", etc. And it went on for pages at a time. This cut into the momentum of the story and certainly lessened the impact of the romance but mostly it blotted up all the funny parts and they got lost in the noise. An editor should have caught this.
There were funny parts and that is why it gets 3 stars. But in all, this wasn’t as good as the 4 and 5 star reviews would lead one to believe.
That said, I might try this author again.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2016This books was so funny I could not put it down. In the beginning I felt so sorry for Amy but as you get further into it, it becomes so humorous I could not stop laughing. Her friends Rosie, Chardonnay, Lucy and Georgie are always trying to help but always seem to make things so much worse. I am still laughing long after I have finished this book. Loved it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2016When I started reading this novel, I thought, "Is this going to be the same old chick-lit?". Hang in there folks, this is a whole new ballgame. Of course we have unrequited love, but the time frame of the book is actually plausible and the characters are interesting.
I am a fan of this author, and she did not disappoint. There are lots of zany scenes, almost no mention of sex and real plot development...this takes talent. My only problem with the book is that I read it way too fast. Very entertaining!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2016Loved it!! It started off a little slow, but picked up throughout the book. I laughed out loud at so many scenes. Was so eager to find out what happens with Amy -even though I'd figured already, be feels nice to know you were right! Finished the book in less than 3 days.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2016Even though it is predictable I really enjoyed it. I chose to read it because I wanted to read something fun, not to have to worry about an intense book, and it worked. It really is a romantic comedy, it made me laugh and just put me in a good mood. Very nice and enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun read!
This book was great fun! Witty and fast paced. I laughed at Amy's antics throughout. You really feel like Amy learns about herself and learns how to move forward in her life. Definitely more substance to this story than many others I've read recently and a sweet, romantic, but not over the top ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great romantic comedy!
Funny, entertaining, extremely ironic and hilarious, and yet romantic and moving.
I loved this book, and couldn't put it down.
I have read and liked all Lynda Renham's books, and this is no exception. Well done!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a fantastic light hearted look at romance
What a fantastic light hearted look at romance, comedy, crime, and all together escapism. Lynda is a fabulous observationalist author. The situations Amy got herself into we're hilarious. Ben was a wonderful attractive male oozing appeal. Rosie an excellent loyal friend, and Lucy the colleague we would all love to work with. This is the sort of experience you want to read and feel warm and happy whilst you are. An excellent novel, to good to miss. A wonderful well planned story about weddings, and things that happen! Friends that evolve, and right that sorts itself out over slighted wrongs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfeito, como sempre!!!
It's a must read.
