About the author

J.S. Christine has been writing novels since 2011 and graduated with a degree in Creative Writing. She strives to give readers worlds they can relax in with characters they can call their friends. Her novels typically travel down the obstacle-ridden roads of self-discovery with music blasting in the car’s speakers and the occasional explosion off to the side. Her first novel, Sparked, was self-published in 2016. When she isn’t writing, she can be found binge reading books, burning cookies, attempting to run, or teaching her three cats how great popcorn is.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2016I loved this book and would recommend it. The author captured all of the personality changes that come with being a teenager in love. After being emotionally abused by her ex, Brooke struggles to navigate through her last year of high school while dealing with the emotional scars that were left behind. I enjoyed her sarcastic outlook as she struggled with rumors at school, friendly spats, and Nate. Emotionally, this book was haunting as Brooke struggles with anxiety and real fear. I am hoping this author (nudge nudge) writes a sequel to this book so I can have some closure!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2021I loved reading this book and couldn't put it down once I started! The characters are so fun to get to know and make me laugh and smile! Thankfully there's a sequel
- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2016Amazing twists and turns to keep you guessing! I couldn't put it down!!! I hoping that there will be a second book!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2016Throughout most of the story I felt that it was building up to an awesome ending, but that really never happened. Things were resolved, but they were resolved in such a quick, unsatisfying way that it left me wondering if the ending was actually the ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2016This is a great book with a much more independent protagonist than most young adult novels.
