Stay With Me: A Grumpy Sunshine Romance (Diamond In The Rough Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 998 ratings

Now A #1 Bestselling Series

For Rae, things feel more like a black hole than bright sunshine. With her two best friends losing themselves in one another, she feels more alone than ever. Clint's left. Her mother's gone off the deep end. D.J. is louder and more abusive than ever. She doesn't know what to do. She has nowhere to turn. So, she does the only thing she can. The only thing she knows to do. Because she isn't done with Clinton Clarke yet.

And she has a strong feeling he's not really done with her, either.

Stay With Me is the best ending for Rae and Clint, one they both undoubtedly deserve! After they’ve experienced so much anguish and turmoil in their lives as both individuals and a couple, I’m so happy that they get what they deserve.

Although Clint broke my heart at the end of Promise Me, I knew why he did it. But gosh, my heart just continued to hurt for both he and Rae in SWM. I wanted to help them fight, to help them win. Clint’s continuous battle against his father and Rae’s struggles with her mom were hard to witness, but they helped them grow and mature, help strengthen them. Growing pains in ways they shouldn’t have had to deal with, I’m so proud of their resolve and determination. Also, can we get it up for Cecilia and Lucy? They stepped up, found their voices, and are doing their best not only for the kids, but for themselves as well.

This has been such a great series and I’m not ready to say goodbye to Rae and Clint just yet. Thankfully, I don’t think I have to...

I received an ARC of this book.

The third installment of this series begins where we left off with Clint and Rea broken up. We get Clint’s POV and reasoning for pushing Rea away and the story takes off from there. Without any question this was the hardest of the three books for me to read. Only because of this author’s ability to make me feel what the characters are feeling! I wept for Rea and Clint and their heartbreak at not being together.
The characters all really grow in this book as they are all challenged by events in different ways. When Clint is pushing her away Rea never gives up on him something he doesn’t understand as he has never had that in his life. Without giving to much of the story away know that although this book is very angst filled you will be smiling and crying tears of happiness by the end.

Honestly this isn’t that good of a trilogy. It had a lot of potential but it falls short. It seems like it is written by a 15 year old. Lots of grammar mistakes and misspelled words. Also “snicker” is so ridiculously overused in all three books that it made me crazy. Every character snickers and often in inappropriate times. Like they snicker when a person would never snicker. Occasionally someone giggles. But they don’t really laugh, guffaw, chuckle or snort. “Thesaurus needs to be used”, I snickered.

Rebel Hart has become one of my favorite one click authors. She has such a wonderful way of writing that she vividly paints a picture throughout books, that you feel like you are there. Experiencing what they are feeling and all the raw emotions this couple goes through. This series has put me through an emotional rollercoaster. This book made me cry (more than I expected) and laugh even more. I wasn’t ready to say good bye to Clint and Rae, and thankfully we don’t have to just yet. We have gotten to go on one hell of a ride with this series and I have loved seeing Clint grow into such a loving, strong, man. Rae is a badass lady who finally finds her voice and stands up for what is right, she’s a hero/healer for those around her. I can’t wait to see what happens next with this couple. They have been through so much I hope to see this happy ending together!

    >Book Review – Stay with Me
    >I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd in the Diamond in the Rough series and ends in an HEA. This book starts up right where book 2 ended, with Clint breaking up with Rae. The aftermath of the breakup is hard on both of them. Clint is dealing with so much, so he pushes Rae away so he can deal with his father’s abuse, his homelessness and his step mother. I actually was a bit creeped out by how often Clint was hugging his step mom. I almost thought the story would travel in a disturbing direction, but was glad it didn’t.
    >Rae never gives up on Clint, but it seems that once again everyone gives up on Rae. Her mom, her friends are all self-involved, leaving Rae to deal with her life and her issues alone. No one really puts Rae first. Clint eventually realizes how much Rae was dealing with on her own. I hated how the teachers were portrayed as uncaring as they knew about Clint’s abuse, but did nothing to help him.
    >This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. There are still some serious issues, but Clint and Rae are finally solid.

I think out of the 5 books, this one is the best. This one took us for one last emotional ride with the relationship of Rae and Clint. And Clint has come such a far way! I’m so proud of him. The ending is pretty decent, no cliffhanger. I also read book 4 (which was crappy) that one doesn’t start where this one begins, try it out.

Anywho, you’ll really enjoy this one!

Once again, I was lucky enough to have read the book as an arc. I'm unable to process I'm nearing the end of the story of Clint and Rae. As my emotions were stable in this specific book, it has been an emotional rollercoaster knowing it's coming to an end. As Rae would think about Clint every time of the day, my stomach churned of worry. But, I knew in Rebel that they wouldn't be apart for long. I am truly excited to see there's another set in plan. Read this series, it was really good. I highly recommend to those out there, read stories by Rebel!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful written dark love story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 1, 2019
This series has got through lots twists and turns. Some bits are damn right dark, with many triggering issues. The characters of Rae and Clinton are inspiring with the things they come through together and apart. They have beautifully written support character that bring light and darkness to story. This is lovely love story written by Rebel Hart and so glad there is going to be 4th book to series.

The storyline to this book is definitely letting us get a background view to the love they share and the support they have. It also outlines their obvious differences leaving you thinking will they survive all that’s trying to pull them apart. The cliffhanger to book has got me on the edge of my seat. I say Bring on ‘Stay with me’
*I love Rae and Clinton its the same but different as all high school bully romances so far. There are many elements to this story that have me wondering were will Rebel Hart take these characters. I am Enthralled with their journey because they have got a lot going against them. So I am looking forward to the next book in series ‘Promise Me’ after an amazing cliffhanger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Such a rollercoaster!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 11, 2020
Such a rollercoaster of a book - the ups and the downs completely worth it, Rae and Clint are so good together. Allison and Michael deserve each other and they're great friends to Rae and Clint.

I love how you get to see more of their families in this book - the good and the bad.

I was happy with the ending to be honest I thought it was going to be another cliffhanger or rollercoaster moment but it was good.

Let's see what the next one brings!

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally love Clint and Rae
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 24, 2019
This book like the past two is brilliant. It starts out sad with Rae feeling lost after Clint told her to leave. All the while Clint fights his love for Rae still while he goes through the aftermath from his father's anger.
The story then takes you on a highly emotional ride, full of love and many hot moments to end on an amazing high.
The book was freaking AMAZEBALLS, plus loved that it came from both Clints and Rae's pov

3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Finish But The Trilogy Needs Some Work.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 8, 2019
A decent conclusion to the trilogy but I will definitely want to read about their summer together and figure where they go from here. Several issues I had with books 1 and 2 are fixed in this book with regards writing style/editing. There is a definite progression in the quality of the story telling.

Just a few notes (most of which will probably bother nobody but me).
3 books and the couple never had a discussion about birth control.
3 books and every sex scene was more or less the same until the very last.
3 books and we're never told Cecilia's age.
Sex scene dialogue felt very scripted and unnatural.
    They never watched Top Gun!
Why did the main character's skills never join. A cartoonist/graphic artist and a writer? Surely a collaboration is on the cards?
We're never given a physical description of Clint.
The cover model for Rae is definitely more size 2/4 than 10/12.

Lots of picky little things from me but the kind of details that tie a story together and full in the background for the readers.
