5 Star Review from Reader's Favorite
"Stuck with Me by Cassandra Piat is a hilariously heartwarming story. It was funny, it was sad in places, and it was a unique story. I loved the setting, romantic and beautiful Mauritius, and I loved the story. It was easy to read, really very well-written, a story that had me from page one. I read this almost in one sitting simply because I struggled to put it down, and that is a good indicator that the author has a winning story." - Reader's Favorite
"What an absolute delight! This really was a charming read, starting from chapter one." - Samantha March, Chick Lit Plus
"I read an early draft of this book and was completely charmed." - Meredith Schorr, bestselling author of romantic comedy and sassy women's fiction

I am a part-time English Tutor and a full-time disorganised mother and housewife!! I spend my life trying to remember not to forget the 101 things on my things-to-do list - but seem to fail spectacularly most of the time! Whenever I have some free time I am either with my head in a book, or on my computer creating my own books!

I am big fan of rom-com books. I just love books that make me laugh and that leave me feeling happy. My favourite authors are Cecelia Ahern, Jill Mansell, Sophie Kinsella, Susan Elizabeth Philips, Judith Mc Naught... and many more.

I live in Mauritius with my husband and three children.

A bientôt!

Usually, people feel the way they chose to. Under any circumstances, one can either start whining or simply deal with with the situation without grumbling and groaning. I'm totally aware the idea is overwhelming--I like to complain from time to time--but at least we can choose to be happy for a day let's say. This is the main idea of the book (in my opinion)--you are in charge of your happiness, and it's not that hard to attract.

The setting is beautiful Mauritius, where I want to go as soon as possible. I can't image one can be grumpy on the island! Also, it's impossible not to fall in love here I suppose (judging from the photos on Pinterest). Ever-smiling Molly and Adam, the misery come here for vacation. Who's going to get the upper hand? I can't tell you--I've given you enough hints I suppose.

The writing is perfectly fitted to the theme. Twists and turns and wonderful characters--this is what I liked the most although I don't read much romance. I think I should. Because I got happier while reading this novel as I smiled a lot!

The story is billed as a light-hearted romantic comedy, and I felt it filled the bill in that department. What set it apart for me was its unique premise. The heroine has a relentlessly upbeat personality and “dark” powers are at work to see if they can get her to release her inner demons and be as bitchy and as unhappy and as miserable as everybody else. Or at least prove it’s all an act, and at the core she’s really no different than you or I.

Enter the paramour who inserts herself into her life whose job assignment it is to burst her bubble of perpetual happiness.

Needless to say as he falls for her his feelings are increasingly torn.

What I enjoyed about the story is that at one level it really is a quick-witted, fun romantic comedy. But at a whole other level it forces us to ask ourselves on what is our happiness truly based? Can it be a state of mind we choose and then reaffirm each and every moment with Tony Robbins-like positive affirmations and invoking some Zen-mind Jedi tricks on ourselves? If so, how do the mental hygiene tricks work exactly? What’s the real secret? Hence the book is one part light-and-fluffy, one part deep and meaningful.

After I opened my file and begin reading this book, I was about to ask myself, what’s the hell’s going on? Then my mouse scrolled over the title, and I had an aha moment, a romantic comedy, that explains it. I settled down to read.
This is an enchanting story really a YA because the constant giggling and immature behavior is what I would expect from teenagers. The writer knew her readers well and took the reader along on this romantic, funny trip with a group of young adults. The premise of the story is interesting and I was busy turning the pages to see when Molly would discover Adam’s duplicity. I won’t give the plot away, but I feels Molly’s pain when she finds out, and her “little miss sunshine” persona, as Adam had dubbed her, begins to crumble. She has enough on her plate, what with her mum being sick and all, now Adam appearing to be a phony. What’s a girl to do? I do like the smelling each other bit; I, too, am a smelly girl. It works for me. I could give away the ending of the story, but, ha ha ha, I won’t. Go get your copy and read about a great young love. Great YA

Really good rom-com with a set up I haven't come across before. Reminded me a bit of the Spencer Tracy Katherine Hepburn movies where their personalities were so different, you'd wonder how they were ever going to get together. In this case, Molly is such a good-natured optimist that certain people question if she is for real or is her always-smiling persona all an act? Adam is not the cynical humbug that he plays up when around her but that's part of his act to test her metal. To see them both be affected by each other is both tender and funny. I was rooting for them all the way!

This was refreshing and fun. The story was from both characters' POV, so it was nice to know what each was going through. There were some really funny moments and the author's writing is in such a way that many times, I felt I was right there with the characters. I also liked how the author threw in the concept of positivity through one of the characters.

If you're looking for a light, fun read, I would recommend Stuck With Me.

An enchanting and irreverent love story, set in the romantic ambiance of Mauritius. The author cleverly builds the attraction between the protagonists from both sides as the story moves from Molly to Adam and back. Both characters are delightful and quirky and you can’t help but fall in love with them.

The background is described beautifully and makes you feel that you’re there. You know there’s a twist coming because of who Adam is and I won’t spoil it for you by elaborating on that. You won’t regret picking up this easy to read chick-flick.

It just didn't work for me.

Stuck With Me is a story about two people, brought together under manufactured circumstances, who fall in love. I loved the internal struggle that the characters went through, although at times I wanted them to get on with it. Molly is a happy person and Adam has reluctantly accepted the assignment of figuring out what makes her tick. She struggles with her fear of intimacy and commitment. He struggles with having to pretend to be someone he's not. The adventures they embark on are fun and funny. There were unexpected twists which kept me reading. Good book!

So happy to have found books set in Mauritius, I grew up in Mauritius and live in Australia now, reading this book and the description of Quatre Bornes, Flic en Flac, etc really transported me back to Mauritius and let me remember all the good memories I have there. The little anecdotes on Mauritius were so relatable to me as Mauritian and my husband who’s Australian. Can add this to my list of favourite books.

If you’re looking for a good clean enjoyable read, then you’ve found the right book. Every now and then, I enjoy reading something a little different than my usual story and I’m so glad I read this. A romantic comedy, don’t be fooled this story explores some strong themes and is beautifully crafted. Molly is a great character and I loved discovering how she had learned to choose happiness, even under such difficult circumstances. I think this would be great for a YA audience as well because it has no explicit content, is easily readable and explores such important issues.

This romantic comedy, where the path of true love typically does not run smooth, is an entertaining read, Set in beautiful Mauritius, so well-described that I wanted to go there tomorrow, the story is told in alternate chapters by Molly and Adam. Therefore, the reader gets an insight into what they are both thinking and why there are so many misunderstandings.

This is a lovely, sweet read and a refreshing take on the romance genre. Adam and Molly were characters I could easily engage with and I was certainly willing them to get together! There were some great funny moments in the book, but I really liked that there was also a deeper level to the story: Molly's issues with her mother and the exploration of what it takes to be happy.

A really enjoyable read that is perfect for a summer holiday!
