Tak: The A**hole Club Series Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 970 ratings

From Bestselling author Ivy Harper
Tak
Let them call me what they want, I know the truth. It all begins with the music, it follows me everywhere I go. Living as if every day is my last, I stand on the edge of life and death. Now everything around me is changing, dancing to music that’s not my own. My world is slowly falling apart because my friends are changing the rules.
Then it happens. FML. One night I can’t remember and I’m left with no other option but to have a bodyguard, one I’d much rather throw in a ditch. Well, until I see who it is.

Jazzy
My mother’s death has tainted everything but the music from him. Looking for a way to escape the cloying darkness around me, I run into the very man I admire and discover someone is after his life. Despite the consequences, I decided to help him, putting my own life in danger.

Playing bodyguard to a star shouldn’t be too hard… unless that star has little respect for his life and demons in every closet. It doesn’t help that he’s focused on getting rid of me. Little does he know, he’s not getting rid of me until after I’ve made sure the people after him are gone.

Neither of us were prepared for the instant attractions that stirred between us. Yet we have two problems. One of us isn't who we say we are and we're both trying to run away from their past. Will we come together in harmony or fall apart in dissonance?

Trust me when I say this book is SO worth it.

Tak and Jazz book is just too funny. I couldn't stop laughing when reading this book. I thought the two books before this one was funny, I was not ready for theirs.

Tak and Jazz has some back history together that Tak doesn't exactly remember.. Jazz on the other hand does and beacuse of Tak music help her get through a really rough time in her life. When Jazz see's Tak is in danger she takes it upon herself, with the help of her family memebers as well, to try to protect him and find out who is trying to murder him. When a chance to become his security guard opens up Jazz applies quickly, and with a werid interview she get the poistion. Oh! And I forgot to mention Jazz and one of her Cousin Trisha ( Who I absolutely LOVE ) is BIG time Fans of Tak Band. Jazz will not only be able to protect Tak, BUT also get to talk and work directly with her biggest Crush/Celeb.

Now let talk more about Tak. Tak is the youngest from the A$$hole club, and in the other books there was not much mention about him to much. He was just someone who was very, very much involve in the crash that lead these group of strangers to become friends... well family. Tak was having a hard time accepting that the other memebers of his family is falling in love and getting married. With having a harsh past like Tak you understand why. And for those who don't its the fact that he was basically abandon by his family. So he has a hard time believing in others.

Tak who is the main lead ( the vocalist ) of his band, really gives everyone, and I do mean everyone a hard time. Its so funny how he treats people. Esp. Ark who is one of his band memeber. Actually the way he treats ALL of his band memebers is hilarous. But at the end of it he cares greatly for her bands, and his manager ( chelsea ) and his label boss ( Kole ). But one thing that Tak hates is that they try to put security on him.. He likes to live wild and free, but Kole is not having that with the last couple of scandals that has happen. So that's were Jazz comes in and at first Tak was 100% against it, and was very determind to get her fired or have her quit. Well that was until he see's that Jazz is not taking his crap and is determine to stay. lol Jazz was just a type of sweetness that his taste buds was not ready for, but now that he got a taste he wasn't giving her up.

What I love the most is that at the beginning of all 3 books, they start from the scene of how they all met. I love that you get ot see from each person point of view. It seems to be a theme for this series and i'm freaking loving it!!

What I love the most about this book is that you see more of the other memeber that's kind of in the background of the other 2 books.

Seeing this has made me realize how some memebers are kidn of a lot closer to each other then other. But at the end of it they're all close. I love that you got a peak in on Deacon's character. And that you can really see that no one, and i do mean no one is trying to deal with Pit coming to there door to rip them a new one.

i highly reccommend this book.... well no this entire series to any readers that love comdey, alpha males and females, Females who is far from a damsel in distress and romance.

I really love this book and i can't wait to read Deacon's book, hopefully there's a book for Rhet as well.

I read this book on the day it was released. However, it took me a day to really digest all that was going on. Like the two previous books in this series, this book has alot of moving parts. The primary premise is still there...Boy and girl get together and fall in love. It took a moment for me to connect with the H. The physical and mental abuse have left the H filled with anger and self loathing. The h is also a product of physical abuse and mental trauma. The saving grace for both is the H's music. Bound by a tether that spans almost two decades, these two tormented souls through a bit of serendipity are reunited and embark on a journey that allows them to exorcise the evil that has plagued them most of their lives. The characters are complex and their actions at times gave me pause. But, it all ties together. My favorite club members make an appearance. Everyone needs a "ride or die" crew like the Club. Editing and grammatical errors are almost nonexistent. I encourage you to read the book. Tak and Jazz will take you on a wild ride.

I love this series more than I thought I would. Tak and Jazz is the third book and I’m not sure which couple I like best. Tak and Jaxx have history but Tak doesn’t remember Jazz until later in the book. Jazz’s father is a piece of work and she believed he killed her mother and she’s determined to prove it. Tak, on the other hand, has someone trying to kill him and Jazz is determined to keep him safe as she is his bodyguard. To make a long story short, Tak stops trying to get rid of her and starts to like and trust Jazz and this blossoms into love. This is a hard book to put down with all its twists. Also, I love the fact that with each book you still get a glimpse of the couples from the previous books and they are all intertwined in this story. This is the first book I’ve read by Ivy Harper and it won’t be the last. 👍🏾👍🏾

This book kept me hooked from start to finish. It honestly could have been a little longer. I especially love that there was no third act breakup and how Tak handled the big reveal. There were questions that I had that we didn’t get answers for. Spoiler….The biggest being, who was REALLY behind the hit?!? I hope we find out by the end of the series. There were some typos in here that made reading some parts a bit confusing but overall this book was amazing.

The rocker Tak (Takuya Nakamura) finally meets his match and his lady. Tak doesn't remember but Jazz (Alicia Roarke sole heiress to the Roarke fortune) is a part of his past. They meet again while in the process disrupting a theft of his car resulting in a foot chase. Tak is kidnapped. Witnessing the incident from the shadows Jazz follows and saves him from a murder set up to look like a suicide.
To protect him Jazz poses as a bodyguard and wins the job of keeping him safe.
The families of both of these characters are cringe worthy. How father's could behave in this manner due to greed or culture is mind blowing.
I at first found the character of Tak distasteful. Move on and grow a pair was my thought but he grew on me. Jazz is just the best heroine, brave, compassionate, bad ass and smart. The mystery and action keep the story moving at a good pace.
Anxiously awaiting the next installments in this series.

Let me say I wasn't quite feeling the storyline at first - it dragged a little, but when it got to the first hill! Baby, that rollercoaster was hitting curves, turns, and bends that had my mind blown and awake at 5 o'clock in the morning to finish it. Whew! I should be exhausted, but I'm ready for the next book! I may be late to the series, but I will remain a fan of you ladies and the books you share with us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Character growth, great interplay between characters, gripping storyline

They are not called a**holds for a laugh and Tak is definitely in that category. Problem? You can't help but call in love with him. You see the maturity of both lead characters, from immaturity to maturity. The story is gripping as you want to know what happens next. I could have strangled Tak when he didn't ask for help sooner. Definitely a MUST read.
