    They have absolutely no filler, they are fast paced (I never skim through his books) they are clean considering the genre, offer a great storyline with twists and real characters, they are expertly edited and most importantly, they have heart.

    So many author’s would make Tanner a man-whore who was emotionally used up or fighting inner demons. Probably kill off his loved ones to add tension and motivation. Blah, blah, blah.

    Kane paints the real world where those demons are very real but they can’t touch Tanner. The killer is so dang smart, he glides through problems and that is so unique and refreshing. I can trust that justice is served depending on each characters actions. That is not true in real life but it is the fiction I want to spend my precious personal hours reading every month. It’s FUN to read that.

    I can also trust that this author will not make me spend hours reading how immoral, evil antagonists get all the breaks and kill, rape and pillage until the last chapter. I can tell Mr Kane has a good heart and therefore, so does his merciless assassin, Tanner. A oxymoron? Sure, but that’s what makes this series so unique.

    What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! This was one really good read. The fact that we find our hero pulled into a job he doesn't want is just plain crazy but it makes for good reading. The story only gets better has we get deeper in and find out something else is going on under the surface. The writing as usual is just outstanding and the action is spot on. And what’s funny is his run-in with Ramone who is his adversary looking for the same criminals in fact, it just gets downright funny. This is a book you’ll really enjoy.
