The Killing Parade: A DCI Bone Scottish Crime Thriller (DCI Bone Scottish Crime Thrillers Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 8,787 ratings

Who will be next?

When the body of a local talent show winner is discovered, on the eve of headlining Kilwinnoch’s annual Civic Week celebrations, it throws the festivities into chaos and threatens to tear the close-knit community apart.

For DCI Bone, the death is personal. Days earlier, he’d received a call from the victim, warning that she was about to be killed. He’d dismissed it as a hoax.

With threats of more to come, a town on edge, and a ruthless killer evading detection with ease, Bone knows from hard -worn experience that, in a case like this, one kill is never enough.

Set among the dramatic hills and glens of Scotland's Campsie Fells, The Killing Parade is the fourth book in a series of edge-of-your-seat crime mysteries that will keep you guessing right up to the nail-biting, heart-stopping climax.

Perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, J.D. Kirk, Val McDermid and Stuart MacBride.

Also available in Kindle Unlimited.

Great characters and storyline in this series. DCI Bone has gone through a lot in his life and is finally finding happiness again with his wife and son. He and his police team hunt down criminals and work very well together. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I enjoy these books other than, as in this one, Bone going off to explore the possible hiding place of the serial killer by himself instead of with the armed escort available and it becomes a slapstick cop comedy routine so the villain gets away. It happens in all of the DCI Bone books and makes him look like an idiot as well as unprofessional. Not a good look for the hero especially when it happens more than once in a book. Is it just an easy way to keep the narrative going?

This is th fourth book in the DCI Bone series. Like the previous three, the story is well crafted and fast paced and the characters are interesting. Unlike the prior books, this one has a myriad of plot errors including a secondary character whose name keeps changing. Very distracting! I'm off to book 5 and hoping it's up to the quality of 1-3.

Another big from T G Reid. DCI Bone once again gets you hooked in the next crime to hit the town. Well written and a thoroughly enjoyable read. Keeps you guessing throughout as to who is responsible for the lastest deaths and do they have a serial killer. As usual you get gripped with the hard side of DCI Bone and his softer side when you get to see his softer side as he tries again to mend his relationship with his son and wife. As usual T G Reid Didn’t disappoint. Now to wait for the next one in the series
