Overview

Emily Swanson knows how it feels to lose everything. Which is why she agrees to help a grieving widow uncover the truth about her husband.

Max Edwards was found dead on the bank of the River Thames, his body poisoned by toxic levels of alcohol. His wife insists he'd been sober for years and that there's more to his death than meets the eye.

But what begins as a routine investigation for Emily quickly takes a dangerous turn. Max isn't the only one to die in mysterious circumstances. A mother and child are missing. And a deadly secret connects them all.

Out of her depth and with time running out, Emily must turn to an unlikely ally for help. Because if she doesn't uncover the truth about Max Edwards, more innocent people will die.

Trail of Poison is the latest gripping suspense thriller from award-nominated Malcolm Richards.
