- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2024I’ve read several books by Remington Kane, all excellent books, but none that kept me up enthralled as did Terror in New York! It is well written and shows the author’s extensive prescience of what is very likely in the very near future if we-the-people don’t rein in our runaway government.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2023Well before I say how good this story is,I have to tell you,one big imagination has been at work and created one heck of a story and character. The story keeps you on the edge right from the start. The story is something we fear and relish at the same time. This was good writing, with an excellent storyline and some really good characters. Take trip with a complicated man.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2022I can’t believe I actually finished Terror in NewYork. I thought it would be anotherTanner novel. Instead, I was glued to my chair during the day and bed at night . My pulse rate kept going up and down . Innocent people were being maimed or killed by a mad man who couldn’t be stopped. The finally was thought provoking and the novel is a must read. It’s Not for the light at heart. My wife will be reading it next and I’ll be curious to see how she responds to it.
Remington, this was a novel I never expected from you.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2022I'm A huge fan of this Author. This was a different style of reading for me but as always I wasn't disappointed. This is another great series in the making. Brock Harper made a decision to stop a madman in the story. He felt he was justified in what he was doing and he had to be stopped. The ending of this one is unbelievable as Brock has to make a devastating decision. As always with this Author I'm really looking forward to the next book
- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2022This story takes place in the near future where the government controls every aspect of civilian life.
Brock Harper and hiss Unleash Unit pursues a man, Ezekiel, who was once the prince of his country, which was taken away and his family killed. He’s now out for revenge and orchestrates massive attacks in New York, killing hundreds of innocents. He wants to bring down the US government.
Brock’s unit is composed of men and women who are police officers and federal agents. They have a transport drone of the roof of their headquarters. They don’t try to enforce the law but rather to unleash it against terrorists. They have body armor with sensors and shields that can be used as offensive weapons, and they have full immunity from the law. Mayor Kiley, now running for the Senate, despises Unleash and vice versa.
Ezekiel first has a group to go after law enforcement with a number of brutal individual attacks. He then has a group to set fire to several civilian shops. Then he hires a group to poison people in restaurants and even at the mayor’s fundraiser. And he tries to have the Unleash members assassinated, among others. He then has people committing larger scale atrocities. He has poisonous gas planted in bunkers holding thousands, hundreds of which are children.
Brock has to commit an abhorrent act in trying to save all those people.
I can hardly wait to order the next book in Remington Kane’s The Unleashed Series.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2022I have read almost all of Remington Kane's works, including the entire Tanner series, which Mr. Kane continues on a regular basis. The Brock Harper series is a nice change, but I have to admonish Mr. Kane for using double past tenses. He's not as bad as some authors I read. I call them "Had-Hads". The use of this double past tense is just a little annoying, and I read on, enjoying the stories. Thank you, Mr.. Kane, you take me away from my daily problems and allow me some respite from them.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2022Remington Kane has been on my favorite authors couple years now and it was all because of the tanner series This new series with the unleashed sounds really good very different kind of dystopian way to look at how we could so easily fall from the Great democracy that we are to what could be It's not far more out of the realm of where we could have been had some things happen differently in 2020. I'll read anything that Remington Kane writes there have been a couple that I didn't get into but it was just not my bag of tricks so I just decided I wouldn't read that particular one but pretty much from Tanner to the taken series to Blue steel to the caliber detective agency all great and that he is touched on the subject now that is so right in our face that it could happen I will definitely be reading the unleashed series starting going forward Tanner will always be my favorite but yeah keep it up Remington you're doing a great job

5.0 out of 5 stars Not at all what I expected. But damn it's good
When I first started to read this book, I was a little confused, only having read the tanner books from Remington Kane. It took a little while to get into it, but once I was a few chapters in, I couldn't stop. Excellent characters, believable characters, and what a plot. Brilliant. Can't wait for the next book. Thank you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Empathetic
The hero was always behind the 8-ball; bound to be judged by those he was protecting. From go to woe, the author had me firmly embedded in the soul of Brock. That's mighty good writing!

3.0 out of 5 stars too futuristic for me
I read this just as quickly as I would any Remington Kane book, couldn’t get into the characters as easily as a ‘Tanner novel’. Must say the end is quite brutal!

1.0 out of 5 stars unmitigated horror
The further into the story the more unpalatable it became until I readily skipped through to the final pages. No more stories like this please!
