Event planner Sienna's best friend Madison is getting married! When things start getting out of control, it's not Madison's fault, it's actually her cousins who try to call the shots.

Once again Ms Baldwin gives us a story of great characters, humor, and love. It's an unbeatable combination resulting in another fun book!

Wedding Haters is an entertaining chick lit / romantic comedy wedding themed story that will keep you in stitches!

In Wedding Haters, the second book of the Event To Remember series, author Melissa Baldwin weaves a sassy tale that follows the wedding planning trials and tribulations of bride Madison Wales. Told in the first person narrative, the reader follows Madison and her best friend and wedding planner Sienna Harris as Madison's perfect bridal plans are sabotaged by her meddling Grandmother and evil cousins Ellie and Stephy. Can Madison and Sienna save her wedding dreams and get it back on track, or should Madison and Cole go the easy route and elope?

This was such a fun and lighthearted book to read, it had a great mixture of family drama, humor, romance, and a touch of mystery that kept me engaged and laughing as I followed the unfolding of the craziness of Madison's wedding planning debacle. Anyone who has been down the wedding planning route can relate to the craziness of the event, and how the best laid plans can unexpectedly go awry, especially when meddling family members add their two cents in the mix. I loved the witty dialogue and dramatic interactions between the characters; the wonderful friendship between Madison, Sienna, and Abby; and her sweet romantic relationship with Cole. I love reading wedding themed chick lit stories, and this one had just the right amount of entertaining drama and humor intertwined with an intriguing mystery twist that easily earns two thumbs up!

Wedding Haters is a fast paced and thoroughly enjoyable chick lit story that will leave a smile on your face.

This is a good beach book. Easy reading. No surprises. Some likeable characters. Some unnecessary detail that have nothing to do with the overall story; without these, it would be a better written story.

This is a cute book. Madie is getting married. Her best friend Sienna is the wedding planner and one of her bridesmaids. When Madie's Grandmother insists one month before the wedding she must have her childhood nemesis cousins as brides adds this go sideways. Two weeks before the wedding missing paperwork cause the Four Seasons to cancel her wedding. How will they move forward with their happy day? This was a really cute book and shows how out of control brides can get and hoe their families add to the crazy.

This is rather light fare. However, there are some surprising twists. The author has managed to create a little suspense at what should be the perfect wedding. The bride and groom are very much in love. The bride is well-grounded and the groom is just a peach of a guy. Her best friend is an expert wedding planner, too. Why would anything go wrong? Weddings are very stressful enough, but someone is trying to sabotage this one. The reason is not what you think. I had fun reading this book and trying to solve the mystery. I like to read in bed. This is a good book for that or a young adult reader and at the beach etc.

I loved the twists and turns of Wedding Haters, which kept me guessing and dying to read on.

I enjoyed Madie's self-deprecating, yet adventurous spirit, as well as that of the lighthearted Cole, her perfect match. I cringed at every setback Madie faced in her goal toward a perfect wedding. I cheered whenever she overcame an obstacle.

I recommend Wedding Haters as a fun, engrossing story.

Entertaining story but not well written. Repetitive language makes it difficult to read at times. As the author matures it will be interesting to read her books.

Fun, light read! I very much enjoyed this book, it's good to take a break from heavier reading and enjoy a little romantic fun. I liked this book as it didn't follow the typical romantic formula, but rather added a light mystery to the plot.

I received this book free in return for my honest review.

Madison is slated to be married. But her cousins' involvement threatens her wedding plans. She doesn't want them to compromise the most important day of her life. Her Grandmother apparently is very supportive of them. Can her wedding survive in the shameful explosion of egos?

2.0 out of 5 stars Free Book Not Worth My Time
Reviewed in Canada on January 18, 2018
I usually read a number of reviews to determine if a book is worth my time, and this one had a number of 4 and 5 stars on amazon.com. What a mistake - I should have paid attention to the 1 and 2 star reviews. I agree with the reviewer who didn't like the characters. The bride to be, Madison, is a supposedly confident, capable individual but gets bullied and badgered by her friends and relatives who should be supportive. Her fiance comes off as vapid, and annoyingly patronizing. There's too much drama, whereby Madison is overly concerned about the 2 evil cousins and seems uninterested in wedding plans leaving practically everything up to the planner. Eventually, the interrelationships feel frustratingly contrived and definitely unappealing. I will not be reading any more in this series.
