Writing is a labor of love for Linda Bridey, whose works are consistently on several top 100 best-selling romance book lists. Since starting her writing career in earnest, Linda has written thirty-seven books and counting, which have gained great popularity. Linda's Echo Canyon series, tells the story of a small Montana town on the verge of extinction after the collapse of the mining industry in the region. It shows the ingenuity of the Echo's inhabitants in how they come together to save the town they love. All is not always as it seems in Echo with mystery, suspense, and romance abound!

    This was a heart breaking read to see how our government treated our American Indians. I still do not understand how everyone who comes into this country illegally is treated so much better than the people who were here from the very beginning of the country we call the United States of America. This was another good read from Linda Bridey, but it made me cry for treatment of the Lakota People. My personal feelings is one day those men who were in charge of our government (a few presidents) will be judged by God for what they have done to all the Native Americans.

    To say that there is some violence and some sexual content is really open to view...the question of both doesn't give much option of how much. I think the book was very appropriately written and wasn't overboard on either question. I found errors in the book in some of the writing but I really enjoyed the overall book and the story itself. I've enjoyed this whole series!

    I cannot tell you how angry I am that he mans are so cruel to cultures they know nothing about and only want to kill or imprison those not of their race or culture!

    Shame on any person who is so bigoted, filled with hate just because someone believes different than they do. Who made mankind? Jehovah God and his Son, Christ Jesus did! Did they create just one race? No!!! We are all different just as flowers are, what a boring life we would lead if we were all the same.

    Open your eyes and hearts people, all of us are descendants of Adam and Eve in one fashion or another. We are all brothers and sisters! Grow up, become full of love for one another. After all who did Jesus die for? Blacks, Indians, Asians, Latinos, Germans...etc. I hope you get the point.

    My heart broke for these Lakota Indians, but not just for their tribes but for all branches of Indian tribes. We whites have done them (and the Blacks as well as other races) a huge injustice!

    That being said I hope when you read this book you are touched as deeply as I was.

    So if you've read more than one of these books it follows a certain pattern which is not a problem or issue for me. I think the surrounding story involving the Lakota tribe was more interesting than this couple. I was really frustrated with the male lead in this story. I question whether I'm just imposing my liberal sensibilities on a historical fiction that is keeping his personality a certain way to be in tune with the time or the guy is a.....sorry can't think of an appropriate word. The whole reconciliation made me roll my eyes. I think i literally said "really" out loud as I was reading it.
    The 4 stars was for the surrounding story wish there was more of that. I just wasn't feeling Deena and Eddie or whatever his name was
