Writing is a labor of love for Linda Bridey, whose works are consistently on several top 100 best-selling romance book lists. Since starting her writing career in earnest, Linda has written thirty-seven books and counting, which have gained great popularity. Readers are drawn to her vivid writing of mail-order bride and historical romance stories, many of which deal with social issues, and always include humor and heart.

Her Westward series, which includes twenty-three books, is set in Dawson, Montana. When the series ended, her readers wanted more of the characters they'd come to know and love--so much so that it prompted her to create the Dawson Chronicles, which picks up the stories of many of the descendants of the original characters, but can also be read as a stand-alone series.

Linda's Echo Canyon series, tells the story of a small Montana town on the verge of extinction after the collapse of the mining industry in the region. It shows the ingenuity of the Echo's inhabitants in how they come together to save the town they love. All is not always as it seems in Echo with mystery, suspense, and romance abound!

This was a touching story that made your heart ache for our Native American People. They endured wot of cruelty from people did not want to understand their way if life. The soldiers were very hateful to them and all this could have been avoided with men who had some compassion and common sense in the treatment of others no matter the color of their skin or their background. We live now in a time when blacks, Hispanics, Islamist people hate all whites. I enjoy reading books so I can get away for awhile from the terrible news of what is going on in our country today. I can almost feel a little something of the hatred our American Indian had to endure through the years. I hope there are more books in this series because it is such good reading.

One can’t imagine traveling that far and your husband to be has died. Another there is no spark, Will they wed anyways. Three different loves awaiting for us to enjoy, and how they will turn out.
The audio by Alan Taylor and Jim Ellis were great bringing these stories to life.

This was a very good romantic story with lots of powerful characters and great passion. I couldn't put the book down. I would recommend this book to all. The only negative comment is it lacked a complete epilogue.

Loved this story!! Love the way the author adds surprises and twists and turns and adventures as well. Although I don't agree with the need for so much intimacy in a book, it doesn't go into descriptions that are more word porn than part of the story. Ms. Bridey has alway got a great story line in each book.

I really loved this story of Raven and Zoe! That they fell in love right away is not surprising, sometimes it just happens when two people meet. That's what happened to my husband and I 48 years ago. We were unfortunately separated 8 years then out of the blue he called and we were still very much in love with each other even though we both went through bad marriages.

What bothered me most in this story was how those rotten soldiers made Raven fight other Indians for entertainment! My heart went out to him, I hope in the next book he gets a huge settlement from the military, he sure deserves it. Men ... Some are so cruel and they should be ashamed of themselves.

To me this series is about mail order brides journeys to finding love, but this book and the book before has saddened me of the violence caused to the Indians in this story. I haven’t read in the first fifteen books any violence to any other people except the Lakotas. What is a death match doing in a love story.

5.0 out of 5 stars I miss my friends in Dawson!

Linda Bridey writes a good story. I loved her characters and particularly liked that we get to know a town's population as they progress over the series of her books. The only thing that detracted from the books was a lack of prepositions, sometimes pronouns and often the wrong choice of similar sounding words. Use of a competent proof reader instead of relying on "Spellchecker" might have picked up most of these small errors. These were small irritants and did not stop me wanting to move to Dawson where all these lovely people lived! Sadly I seem to have read all the series and am now bereft:-( Maybe Linda will write some more about the people of Dawson and I will overlook the grammatical glitches and I can spend more time with my "friends".
