Writing is a labor of love for Linda Bridey, whose works are consistently on several top 100 best-selling romance book lists. Since starting her writing career in earnest, Linda has written thirty-seven books and counting, which have gained great popularity. Readers are drawn to her vivid writing of mail-order bride and historical romance stories, many of which deal with social issues, and always include humor and heart.

Her Westward series, which includes twenty-three books, is set in Dawson, Montana. When the series ended, her readers wanted more of the characters they'd come to know and love--so much so that it prompted her to create the Dawson Chronicles, which picks up the stories of many of the descendants of the original characters, but can also be read as a stand-alone series.

Linda's Echo Canyon series, tells the story of a small Montana town on the verge of extinction after the collapse of the mining industry in the region. It shows the ingenuity of the Echo's inhabitants in how they come together to save the town they love. All is not always as it seems in Echo with mystery, suspense, and romance abound!

I have read all 22 books in this mail order brides series. I have enjoyed each and everyone of them! I have really become invested in each character whether white, black or Lakota. I do hope there will be more because I'm not ready to give them up yet... I need to know the rest of the story!!! Ms. Bridey does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life and intertwining their stories so that a Montana town seems real! One note on the negative side, I did find several typos and missing words, but that could be because I read all of them on an iPad with the kindle app and sometimes the translation to digital is not exact ! Now I'm on to the echo canyon series!

Oh my heaven, I loved all the first 21 books but this book was absolutely my favorite so far. Maybe because I am so ill myself, and realize just important family and your spouse are.

Maybe because I fight everyday not to get lost in grief over what I no longer can do but being thankful for what I can. It truly is not easy but when you have faith, a wonderful husband, a good family and friends, you become more grateful for each day you have.

I hope this isn't the last book in this series, I'd like to learn of more happy memories for all of them, to see Black Fox find a new love (maybe a white woman directed to him by his dead wife). More babies for all family members....

So with all that said, I'm sad this book has ended, I just started it a couple days ago and finished it already. I LOVED it greatly!

I loved this book it made me cry almost as many times as it made me laugh out loud (thankfully I was alone). I love the citizens of Dawson and feel like I know each one so well. It seems like such a short time ago I was reading about Dean and Tess and now I'm reading about their son and new wife and grandchildren. Joe still makes me laugh and now Emily does too. Black Fox is such a great chief I almost wish I could ask him for advice on life. Dean has mellowed so much over the years and the town has grown in leaps and bounds. Soon they might even rival Wolfe Pointe in size and amenities especially with the Grady House showcasing Jack's skills.

Most of all I loved DJ's and Frankie's love story as well and Sonny and Minx and Emily and Bobcat finally courting each other. I will admit I cried during much of the last half of the book more than I had for Roscoe who had been such a great character even if he was a wolf-dog. The victims of the illness had me worried that more would die and the one who did was surprising and will be dearly missed not only by Dawson residents but myself as well.

I love how Mrs. Bridey manages to draw you in and make you feel so strongly for each person and you reveal in their joys and sympathize with their sorrows. I can't wait for the next Echo book but the Dawson series will always hold a higher place in my heart since it's the first series I read. I can't wait for more.

Like all the other books in this series, hope and enduring love proved to make difficult circumstances bearable. DJ as nd Frankie had to handle a situation in their lives that could tear them apart. It was painful. Is love enough? Read and find out. Others were challenged as well: Tessa and Dean, Black Fox and Wind spirit, and the entire Samuels tribe. Loved it.

I have loved every book in this series. The characters make you laugh, cry and scratch your head! I stop everything each time her books come out. My husband knows it is take out night when Linda's books come in. Linda writes these characters as if you grew up with them and they are as close as family.
I cried my eyes out for one of the main characters I have become obsessed with the town
of Dawson and all its people, I even looked the town up on the map ( to make sure it was real !! ). I read and am
glad to recommend any books by Linda Bridey. I can recommend the Echo Canyon series it is as good as the
    Dawson clan.

Frankie came from New York to meet D.J Samuels to see if they were suited to be husband and wife. Her name was Francesca but was called Frankie. Sawyer took to her right away and she feel in love with the little boy. This story is filled with a lot joy and happiness but also has a lot of sorrow in it. I did not think your story lines could get any better, but they surely do. I look forward to each and every book, and they never disappoint me. We all know it is a fact of life that eventually there will deaths among the people in the town of Dawson and we hope the people live to a good old age.

Linda Bridey has done it again! The people of Dawson are now part of my family or at least that is how this series makes you feel! I love all the characters and love reading about their ups and downs. Westward Sight had me crying my eyes out, laughing thru my tears and smiling. How could you not love reading a book that shows so many emotions. I love Black Fox more in each book. Each book has touched me in different ways and all have touched my heart. I can't wait for the 23rd book in this series. Westward Series is a must read series. ❤️
