Writing is a labor of love for Linda Bridey, whose works are consistently on several top 100 best-selling romance book lists. Since starting her writing career in earnest, Linda has written thirty-seven books and counting, which have gained great popularity. Readers are drawn to her vivid writing of mail-order bride and historical romance stories, many of which deal with social issues, and always include humor and heart.
Her Westward series, which includes twenty-three books, is set in Dawson, Montana. When the series ended, her readers wanted more of the characters they'd come to know and love--so much so that it prompted her to create the Dawson Chronicles, which picks up the stories of many of the descendants of the original characters, but can also be read as a stand-alone series.
Linda's Echo Canyon series, tells the story of a small Montana town on the verge of extinction after the collapse of the mining industry in the region. It shows the ingenuity of the Echo's inhabitants in how they come together to save the town they love. All is not always as it seems in Echo with mystery, suspense, and romance abound!
Linda encourages readers to sign up for email alerts about her new releases at www.lindabridey.com and appreciates it when readers leave honest reviews on her books.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2015Westward Horizons – Book #23 …. What can I say…? I’m very sad that this is the last book of this series by Linda Bridey. I love all of her books and I have felt as if the citizens of Dawson and the Lakota Tribe were my family. I have laughed, cried, gotten angry, smiled and dreamed with them. Linda’s writing puts you right there in her stories. I love Chief Black Fox (and his sweet tooth) and have from the beginning of his character. I was so happy he met Beth and fell in love, especially since he lost his Wind Spirit. All the children he has helped throughout this series has touched me in many ways. I love all the families in this series. I wish they would make a TV Series out of these books… I would definitely watch them. I hate to see it end, but I know Linda will have more books and series to read and possibly other families to love and adopt. I also love the epilogue that explains the future of these characters and their families.
This is a must read series and you must start at the beginning. You won’t regret it at all. Plus, read Linda Bridey’s other books. Wonderful.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2015I am so happy for Black Fox, my favorite character and sad to say goodbye.
What a beautiful way to finish the series with the perfect epilogue.
I will not write about Beth and Black Fox story because this book is a perfect way to know better our dear Black Fox.
I am sad to leave Dawson but I will surely keep it in my heart.
The citizens of Dawson and the Lakota tribe became a real family.
I share with them their joy, cries, births deaths, loves and their cultures.
I discovered so much about the Lakota and their beautiful culture.
I have been angry for the way they were treated and happy for the love and respect they shared between each other but also with those outside the tribe.
If people could behave the way Black Fox behave with respect and without prejudice, we could live in a wonderful world.
So thank you Linda Bridey for created such a wonderful character and sharing him with us. Thank you for all the families in Westward series because they are now ours.
I will not say goodbye to Dawson but see you soon.
If you haven't read the series, what are you waiting for? This series deserves a TV series that would be the best way to keep Dawson alive and to recognize Linda Bridey for the great and wonderful author she is.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2015I must say that I have never enjoyed a series of books as much as this one. I think I read the first one about when the thirteenth was released.I personally love reading series that are well established or finished as I read very quickly and love having the next book avAilable. It only pro established thAt wonderful stories can be written and enjoyed without the unnecessary to the story line graphic scenes. I love that the lives of all the characters are part of all the stories. It seems very natural to know about everyone as their lives change and interact. That is a big plus. I am sorry that there are no more stories to look forward to, but the Echo Canyon books are just as good as I would expect. Thank you Linda for the wonderful talent you have for entertaining us and telly beautiful, believable stories that make us Laugh and cry and enjoy the characters you have created.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2015I can't help but be saddened by the end of this marvelous series, however much I know the end comes, I really hated to see it happening.
I fell in love with this series and all in it! I love how two cultures came together, proving that it can be done with love, patience and understanding. It doesn't mean there won't be problems at times, but those too can be overcome.
As I think I've mentioned before I'm married to a man who is part Cherokee and I've never regretted it one bit. I wish he was full blooded because I could have learned so much.
I hate the way all Indians were treated, the injustices they suffered, the way their lands and heritages were taken away by white people. Why? Because they were different, because the white race was greedy? Because the white race thought they were superior? Yes! Actually truth be told, there is a huge difference between them, Indians cared for the land, their children and each other.
I don't want to get into all of that. Suffice it to say I will miss reading about the people of Dawson, I will keep this series and will read it again down the road, I always re read books I love!
Thank you for writing this series. And please know that I've read all books of Echo Canon already and I'm loving it and them too!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2015I really enjoyed reading the whole sequence and living the different lifes of the different members of the Dawson community. I am going to miss them.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2015This is one of my favorite characters Chief Black Fox and it is a welcomed surprise to see him find a new love after he lost his beloved wife Wind Spirit two years ago. He and Beth although they have a large age difference between then, I was happy to read she and Black Fox had a son and a daughter since she had with her first husband lost a child. This was a very hard book to read knowing it is the last about the people I came to love in Dawson. When In was talking about one of these books over dinner last week with my son and his wife my son said mom you sound like you know these products or personally. I said I do after reading the first twenty two books and he just laughed. I am so sorry to see these people of Dawson not going on in my life anymore and it sure is like moving away from your dearest friends. I know you have other characters you will be writing about and I can always read the books over again but I still feel very sad saying goodbye to all the beautiful people of Dawson and the way the Indian and White families lived together in harmony, if only we could do this in real life the way our creator meant for us to be. Thank you Linda Bridey for what I can say is the best series I have ever read all twenty three books. Looking forward to more good reading from you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Series
I just finished reading book 23 in this series and loved every one of the books. I read them all in order which I recommend you do as you get a better idea of all the characters that appear in each book. All the books are well written and you don't want to stop until the end. Highly recommend this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love everything by this author
Love everything by this author. Her characters have depth and grow through the series. I love that characters progress from book to book and although the story in each book can stand alone, it is great to see them go on into the next book. The people of Dawson become like family and I get withdrawal when I finish a book. The books are hard to put down once you start reading. The trouble is when I get a new book by this author I can get nothing done as I find it so hard to put down until I am done! It is like visiting favourite relatives - you really miss them when you part company. The only down side to reading LInda Bridey is that I read faster than she can write! ; ) Keep up the good work, Linda
